# Profile

> Manage your name, dashboard starting page, theme, and GitHub connection from your profile settings in the Mintlify dashboard.

Manage your personal details and dashboard preferences in your [Profile](https://app.mintlify.com/settings/account) settings. Profile settings apply to your account only and don't change what other members of your organization see.

## Personal information

Update your first and last name or upload a profile picture. Profile pictures can be PNG, JPEG, WebP, or SVG files.

## Starting page

By default, when you navigate to [app.mintlify.com](https://app.mintlify.com), the editor loads. To set a different starting page when you open Mintlify, select it from the **Starting page** menu in the **Preferences** section.

The dashboard uses your starting page when you open the dashboard, switch organizations, or open the root URL of a project, such as `https://app.mintlify.com/{organization}/{project}`. Links to a specific page, document, or branch still open that destination.

## Theme

Choose **Light** or **Dark** in the **Appearance** section.

## Workspace

The **Workspace** section shows when you joined your organization. If your organization uses [roles](/docs/dashboard/roles), it also shows your role.

## Connect GitHub

Click **Authorize** in the **Integrations** section to connect your GitHub account. After you connect it:

* Mintlify signs [commits you make in the web editor](/docs/editor/publish#commit-signing) with your GitHub account instead of the Mintlify GitHub App.
* The agent attributes [pull requests it opens](/docs/agent/index#connect-your-github-account) to you instead of the Mintlify bot.

To remove the connection, click **Disconnect**.
