### Who this is for

This program is designed specifically for non-commercial open source projects. To qualify, your project must meet
these criteria:

- Open source with a recognized OSS license (MIT, Apache 2.0, GPL, etc.)
- Not venture-backed or revenue-funded
- Not owned or primarily maintained by a for-profit company

We believe in supporting independent developers, maintainers, and community-driven projects that form the backbone
of the open source ecosystem.

## Why we're doing this

At Mintlify, we build tools for developers. Many of us maintain open source projects ourselves and understand the
challenges of creating great documentation with limited resources.

Open source projects are the foundation of modern software development. From the frameworks we use daily to the
tools that power our workflows, the open source community drives innovation forward.
