You can use our [public packages](https://www.mintlify.com/docs/guides/migration) to convert your existing documentation to Mintlify. We currently support automated migration for Readme and Docusaurus. If you don't see your docs provider or have a home grown system, please get in touch at gtm@mintlify.com and we can help! ### Are LLMs used to power the assistant? We use third-party model providers to power our AI features. To respond to a query, we perform semantic and full-text searches across your documentation to build context for the model. None of the providers we use will train on your data. ### How does pricing work for AI features such as the assistant, agent, and automations? AI features are billed in credits, and every action has a flat price. An Assistant answer is 25 credits and an automation run that updates your docs is 250 credits. If the Assistant can't answer or an automation finds nothing to update, you pay nothing. The writing agent, in the editor and in Slack, is included with Pro and Enterprise at no charge. Each plan includes a set amount of credits per month, overages are billed at $0.01/credit, and tiered credit packs are available at discounted rates if you need more. You can set a hard spending limit or turn off overages entirely from your dashboard. After signing up for Mintlify, you get 14 days to try the product for free — no credit card required. All AI features are available during your trial with up to 5,000 credits included. ### Can I set a hard limit on AI credits? Yes, we've built in controls on the dashboard that allow you to either turn off overages and pause AI features when you reach your plan quota, or stay enrolled in overages and continue using them with spending controls. If your limit is reached and you have disabled overages, AI features automatically turn off until your next billing cycle. You can also set up email notifications when approaching your spending thresholds. ### What auth methods are supported? We offer multiple forms of authentication. You can use password protection, JWT, OAuth, or Mintlify auth (our internal users authentication solution) to authenticate your users. You can make specific pages viewable without authentication at the page or group level with the [public property](https://www.mintlify.com/docs/deploy/authentication-setup#make-pages-public). ### How many editor seats are included? The Starter plan includes up to 5 editor seats. Pro and Enterprise include unlimited editor seats, so you can add everyone who writes or reviews docs without paying per person. ### Can I use the AI features on the Starter plan? No, AI features such as the assistant, agent, and automations are not included on the Starter plan — they are available on the Pro and Enterprise plans. You can try all AI features free during your 14-day trial, with up to 5,000 credits included. ### Are you SOC 2 certified and what other security measures are in place? Yes we are SOC 2 Type 2 certified and GDPR compliant. We are currently in the process of being ISO 27001 compliant.
