The search feature lets you find indicators quickly by name without browsing through the full catalog. Results appear in the same grid layout as the indicator catalog.
1

Open the search box

Click the search icon in the navigation bar at the top of any page. A search input field appears. Alternatively, navigate directly to /search?q=yourterm.
2

Type your query

Enter at least 2 characters to trigger a search. Results update as you type once the minimum length is reached.
Queries shorter than 2 characters do not trigger a search. The result count will not appear until you have entered a valid query.
3

Review the results

Search results appear in a 3-column grid at /search?q=yourterm. The matched portion of each indicator name is highlighted so you can confirm relevance at a glance. The total result count is displayed above the grid: X Indicadores Disponíveis.
4

Refine with filters

Apply any combination of the following filters to narrow your results:
  • Domain dropdown — limit results to a specific domain.
  • Dimension dropdown — limit results to a subdomain (only active when a domain is selected).
  • Governance checkbox — show only governance-classified indicators.
Filters work the same way as in the indicator catalog.
5

Open an indicator

Click any result card to go to the indicator detail page for that indicator.

Result count and empty states

The label above the results grid always shows the number of indicators that matched your query and the active filters. If no indicators match your search term and filters, an empty state message is displayed instead of the grid. Try:
  • Shortening or simplifying your search term.
  • Removing domain or subdomain filters.
  • Unchecking the governance filter.

Search and pagination

Search results paginate at 9 per page, the same as the indicator catalog. Use the Previous and Next controls at the bottom of the grid to move between pages. Changing the query or any filter resets the view to page 1.

Sort options

You can sort search results using the same sort controls available in the catalog:
OptionDescription
NomeAlphabetical by indicator name
PeriodicidadeBy data periodicity
FavoritosBy bookmark count
Click the sort direction toggle to switch between ascending and descending order.
The URL updates as you type, so you can share a direct link to any search query with your colleagues.
