Welcome to AgrospAI Data Space Portal

The AgrospAI Data Space Portal is a next-generation Web3 marketplace designed specifically for the agricultural sector, enabling secure and decentralized data exchange. Built on Ocean Protocol and integrated with the Gaia-X ecosystem, it provides a trusted environment for publishing, discovering, and accessing agricultural datasets and AI algorithms.
The portal is part of the Pontus-X initiative, a Gaia-X Web3 Ecosystem that ensures European data sovereignty and compliance.

What is AgrospAI Data Space?

AgrospAI Data Space is a specialized data marketplace that combines the power of blockchain technology with agricultural data management. It enables:
  • Data Publishers to monetize their agricultural datasets securely
  • Data Consumers to access high-quality agricultural data and AI models
  • Researchers to collaborate and share insights within a compliant framework
  • Developers to build innovative agricultural solutions using trusted data

Core Features

Decentralized Data Marketplace

Publish and discover agricultural datasets with blockchain-backed provenance and access control.

Ocean Protocol Integration

Leverage Ocean Protocol’s robust infrastructure for data tokenization and secure access management.

Gaia-X Compliance

Built with European data sovereignty principles, ensuring GDPR compliance and trusted data exchange.

Smart Contract Pricing

Flexible pricing models including fixed pricing, free distribution, and datatoken-based access.

Compute-to-Data

Run algorithms on datasets without direct data access, preserving privacy and confidentiality.

Verifiable Credentials

Support for W3C Verifiable Presentations for trusted identity and compliance verification.

Technology Stack

The portal is built with modern Web3 technologies:
  • Next.js 13 - React framework with server-side rendering
  • TypeScript - Type-safe development
  • Wagmi - React Hooks for Ethereum
  • ConnectKit - Elegant wallet connection UI

Key Concepts

Datatokens are ERC-20 tokens that represent access rights to a dataset or service. Each asset has its own unique datatoken. To access a dataset, users must acquire the corresponding datatoken either by purchasing it or receiving it from the publisher.
Each published asset is represented by an NFT (ERC-721 token) that establishes ownership and provenance. The NFT holder has control over the asset’s metadata and pricing settings.
The DDO is a JSON document containing all metadata about an asset, including its description, services, pricing, and access control information. It follows the Ocean Protocol specification and is stored encrypted on-chain.
Each asset has a unique DID (e.g., did:op:abc123...) that serves as its permanent identifier across the Ocean Protocol network. DIDs are blockchain-agnostic and resolve to the asset’s DDO.

Supported Networks

The AgrospAI Data Space Portal supports multiple blockchain networks:
The default network is Pontus-X Test (Chain ID: 32456), a Gaia-X compliant test network specifically designed for European data spaces.
Supported Chain IDs
chainIdsSupported: getSupportedChainIds(),
Configuration is managed through the chains.config.js file, allowing easy addition of new networks.

Use Cases

The portal enables various agricultural data scenarios:
1

Soil Data Marketplace

Farmers and agricultural companies can publish soil composition data, enabling precision agriculture services and research.
2

Crop Yield Predictions

AI models trained on historical yield data can be published and accessed by farmers for decision support.
3

Weather Data Integration

Meteorological data can be combined with farm data to provide actionable insights for crop management.
4

Supply Chain Traceability

Track agricultural products from farm to table with immutable blockchain records.
