Prerequisites

- An email address for account creation
- A topic, URL, or text you want to analyze
No technical knowledge required - this is a fully web-based platform.
Step 1: Create Your Account
First, you’ll need to create a free account to access the platform.Navigate to Sign Up
Go to the Argument Cartographer homepage and click Sign Up in the top navigation.
Enter Your Details
Fill in the registration form:
- Email address - Your working email
- Password - At least 8 characters
- Display name - How you’ll be identified (optional)
Step 2: Navigate to the Dashboard
After logging in, you’ll land on the Dashboard - your analysis command center.Dashboard Layout
The dashboard consists of:- Analysis Input - Large text area to submit topics, URLs, or text
- Recent Analyses - Your analysis history
- Narrative Radar - Trending pre-analyzed topics
- Quick Stats - Your usage metrics

Step 3: Submit Your First Analysis
Now for the exciting part - creating your first argument blueprint!Choose Your Input Type
- Topic Query
- Article URL
- Raw Text
Enter a controversial topic or question:Good examples:
- “Should artificial intelligence be regulated?”
- “Universal basic income pros and cons”
- “Climate change policy debates”
- “Cryptocurrency as legal tender”
- Be specific but not too narrow
- Phrase as a question or statement
- Avoid yes/no questions when possible
Submit for Analysis
Analysis typically takes 15-45 seconds depending on topic complexity and source availability.

Understanding the Blueprint
Identify the Thesis
The central contention appears at the top in most views. This is the main claim being debated.Example: “Artificial intelligence should be regulated by government agencies”
Explore Claims (For)
Green/supporting nodes represent arguments in favor of the thesis.Click any claim to see:
- Full text
- Source attribution
- Supporting evidence
- Detected fallacies
Review Counterclaims (Against)
Red/opposing nodes represent arguments against the thesis.These provide the counter-perspective and rebuttals.
Switch Visualization Modes
Try different views to find what works best for your needs:- Flow Map
