Quick start

This guide will get you up and running with Raid Consumable Checker quickly. You’ll learn how to open the addon, understand the interface, and start tracking your raid consumables.

Opening the addon

Once you’ve installed the addon, you can open it using any of these slash commands:
/rcc
Create a macro with /rcc and drag it to your action bar for quick access during raids:
  1. Press ESC and open the Macro menu
  2. Create a new macro
  3. Type /rcc in the macro text
  4. Drag the macro icon to your action bar

Understanding the interface

When you open the addon window, you’ll see your consumables organized into categories with several visual indicators.

Visual indicators explained

1

Item border colors

The colored border around each item shows your buff status:
  • Green: Buff active with more than 5 minutes remaining
  • Orange: Buff active with less than 5 minutes remaining (warning - refresh soon!)
  • Red: Buff not active (you need to use this consumable)
  • Black: No buff to track (instant effect items like healing/mana potions)
2

Buff timer display

For items with active buffs, you’ll see the remaining time displayed in the center of the icon:
  • 45m: 45 minutes remaining
  • 2h: 2 hours remaining
  • No timer shown for instant effect items or inactive buffs
3

Inventory counter

At the bottom of each icon, you’ll see your current inventory count vs. required amount (e.g., “5/10”):
  • Green text: You have enough items
  • Red text: You need more items
  • No counter shown for class buffs that don’t require items
The addon automatically scans your buffs every 2 seconds when the window is open and updates inventory counts when you loot or use items.

Using consumables

You can use consumables directly from the addon window:
1

Left-click to use

Simply left-click on any consumable item icon to use it. The addon will automatically find the item in your bags and use it.
2

Smart confirmation

If you already have the buff active, the addon will show a confirmation dialog:
You already have the buff 'Supreme Power'. Do you want to use another Flask of Supreme Power?
  • Click Yes to use the item anyway (overwrite the buff)
  • Click No to cancel
This prevents you from accidentally wasting expensive consumables!
3

  1. Open the addon with /rcc
  2. Check for red borders (missing buffs)
  3. Click each red-bordered item to apply the buff
  4. Verify all borders turn green
  5. Check inventory counters to ensure you have enough consumables for the full raid
During the raid:
  1. Keep the window open or toggle it periodically with /rcc
  2. Watch for orange borders (buffs expiring soon)
  3. Click to refresh buffs before they expire
  4. Monitor your consumable inventory to know when you’re running low
After a death:
  1. Open the addon with /rcc
  2. All your lost buffs will show red borders
  3. Quickly click through each item to rebuff
  4. Get back to the action faster than searching through bags

Understanding item types

The addon tracks two types of entries:
Physical items you carry in your bags (Flasks, Potions, Food, Oils):Example: Flask of Supreme Power
  • Shows inventory count (1/1)
  • Tracks “Supreme Power” buff
  • Green/Orange/Red border based on buff status
  • Click to use the flask
Example: Major Healing Potion
  • Shows inventory count (10/10)
  • No buff tracking (instant effect)
  • Black border (always)
  • Click to use a potion
