Treasures of Aht Urhgan (ENABLE_TOAU)

Wings of the Goddess (ENABLE_WOTG)

Released November 2007. Takes place during the Crystal War, 20 years before the present-day storyline. Introduces Dancer and Scholar jobs, Campaign battles, and the Wings of the Goddess mission line.

A Crystalline Prophecy (ENABLE_ACP)

Released March 2009. The first of three mini-expansions (“add-on scenarios”). A short mission line involving a mysterious crystal and the Echo.

A Moogle Kupo d’Etat (ENABLE_AMK)

Released June 2009. The second add-on scenario. Centers on the moogle nobility and a political crisis in Mog House.

A Shantotto Ascension (ENABLE_ASA)

Released September 2009. The third add-on scenario. Features Shantotto’s schemes for world domination.

Abyssea (ENABLE_ABYSSEA)

Released across three packs in 2010: Visions of Abyssea, Scars of Abyssea, and Heroes of Abyssea. Introduces the parallel-world zones of Abyssea, the Empyrean Weapon system, light mechanics, and high-powered endgame content that defined the level 85–99 era.

Seekers of Adoulin (ENABLE_SOA)

Released March 2013. Set on the western continent of Ulbuka. Introduces Geomancer and Rune Fencer jobs, the colonization system, Reives, and Skirmish content.

Rhapsodies of Vana’diel (ENABLE_ROV)

Active 2015–2016. The concluding narrative arc of the main FFXI storyline, tying together all previous expansions. Introduces Records of Eminence, Unity, and the Rhapsodies mission line.

The Voracious Resurgence (ENABLE_TVR)

Active 2020–2022. A post-Rhapsodies storyline following a new threat in Vana’diel. Introduces new content areas and the Voracious Resurgence mission line.

Voidwatch (ENABLE_VOIDWATCH)

Added 2011. Not a standalone expansion, but a storyline and battle system involving Voidwalker NMs across the world. The Voidwatch storyline is not fully implemented in LandSandBoat.

Restricting content to enabled expansions

Enabling or disabling an expansion toggle alone does not prevent all out-of-era content from appearing. For a stricter presentation, set RESTRICT_CONTENT = 1 in settings/main.lua:
xi.settings.main =
{
    ENABLE_COP     = 1,
    ENABLE_TOAU    = 1,
    ENABLE_WOTG    = 0,
    -- ... other expansions ...

    RESTRICT_CONTENT = 1,
}
When RESTRICT_CONTENT is enabled, content tagged in the SQL files with a content_tag value corresponding to a disabled expansion is not loaded. This produces a cleaner, less confusing experience for players on era-focused servers. See Content restrictions for a full explanation of how RESTRICT_CONTENT and content_tag work together.
