The /settings command opens an interactive panel to configure bot behavior including reminders, auto-close timing, discussion threads, raid leader markers, and default timezone.
Requires Manage Server permission or a configured admin role.

Settings Panel

The panel shows current configuration and provides controls to adjust:

Creator Reminders

What it does: Sends a DM to the raid creator before the raid starts. Options:
  • Disabled (default)
  • 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes before raid time

Participant Reminders

What it does: Sends a DM to all signed-up participants before the raid starts. Options:
  • Disabled (default)
  • 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes before raid time

Participants who have DMs disabled won’t receive reminders. Failed DM deliveries are logged to the debug channel.

Auto-Close Full Raids

What it does: Automatically closes full raids at a specified time before raid start. Options:
  • Disabled (default)
  • 15, 30, 60 minutes
  • 2, 8, or 24 hours before raid time
Toggle button: Turn on/off Timing dropdown: Select when to auto-close Behavior:
  • Only closes raids that are 100% full
  • Sends notification to creator
  • Updates signup embed to show “Closed” status
  • Prevents new signups after auto-close
Use case: “Lock in” the roster 1 hour before raid time to prevent last-minute changes.

Discussion Threads

What it does: Automatically creates a discussion thread for each raid signup. Options:
  • Enabled - Creates threads
  • Disabled (default) - No threads
Toggle button: Turn on/off When enabled:
  • Thread is created when raid signup is posted
  • Thread name: [Template Name] - [Raid ID]
  • Initial message in thread shows raid details and time
  • Auto-archive after server default (usually 24 hours)

Raid Leader Role

What it does: Marks users with a specific role on raid signups with a ⭐ star. Options:
  • None (default) - No marker
  • Select a role - Users with this role get ⭐
Role selector: Choose from server roles Example: If “Raid Leader” role is selected:
1️⃣ Storm 1: @Player1 ⭐
2️⃣ Storm 2: @Player2
3️⃣ Storm 3: @Player3

Default Timezone

What it does: Sets the timezone used for parsing natural language times. Options:
  • Any IANA timezone (e.g., America/New_York, America/Chicago, Europe/London)
  • Default: America/New_York
Button: Opens modal to enter timezone Used by: Valid formats:
  • America/New_York
  • America/Chicago
  • America/Los_Angeles
  • Europe/London
  • Asia/Tokyo

Best Practices

Reminders:
  • Use 30-60 minute reminders for scheduled raids
  • Shorter (5-15 min) for last-minute raids
  • Test with yourself first to verify DMs work
Auto-Close:
  • Set to 1-2 hours for organized groups
  • Disable for casual/flexible groups
  • Remember: only closes full raids
Threads:
  • Enable for active communities with lots of raid discussion
  • Disable if your server prefers single-channel chat
  • Threads auto-archive after 24 hours by default
Raid Leader:
  • Use for recognizing experienced raid leaders
  • Helps new members identify who to ask questions
  • Visual indicator on all raid signups
