Softbee is a comprehensive beekeeping management application designed to help you track and manage your apiaries, beehives, inspections, and inventory all in one place.

First Time Setup

Create Your Account

Download the Softbee app and create your account. You’ll need to provide:
  • Email address
  • Password
  • Basic profile information

Create Your First Apiary

After logging in, you’ll be prompted to create your first apiary. An apiary is a location where you keep your beehives.Required Information:
  • Apiary Name: Give your apiary a descriptive name (minimum 3 characters)
    • Example: “Apiario El Prado” or “Mountain View Apiary”
Optional Information:
  • Location: Enter the physical location of your apiary
    • Example: “Vereda La Esperanza, Cota”
  • Treatments: Toggle whether you apply treatments when bees are sick

Add Your First Beehive

Once your apiary is created, you can start adding beehives to track individual colonies.Navigate to your apiary dashboard and select Monitoring → Colmena to manage your beehives.

Familiarize yourself with the main features:
  • Apiaries: View and manage all your apiary locations
  • Beehives: Track individual hive health and status
  • Monitoring: Record inspections and observations
  • Inventory: Manage your beekeeping supplies and equipment

Hierarchy

Softbee organizes your beekeeping data in a simple hierarchy: 
Account
  └── Apiaries (Locations)
      └── Beehives (Individual Colonies)
          └── Inspections & Data
You can manage multiple apiaries from a single account, making it easy to track operations across different locations.

Quick Actions

  • Back Navigation: Use the back arrow in the top-left corner to return to previous screens
  • Add New Items: Look for the + or “Add” buttons throughout the app
  • Edit Existing Data: Tap the edit icon on any card to modify information

Finding Your Data

  • All apiaries are accessible from the main dashboard
  • Select an apiary to view its specific beehives and inventory
  • Use the monitoring section to access inspection tools and questions
The app uses a clean architecture pattern, ensuring your data is securely stored and synchronized across devices.
