When you open utilities with a device connected, you’ll see:- Device name: The name set on your iOS device
- UDID: Universal Device Identifier for your device

Trust device
Establish a pairing relationship with your device:Wait for pairing
The button changes to “Pairing…” while the operation completes.This process:
- Establishes a trusted connection
- Allows app installation and file access
- Must be done on first connection
View installed apps
Refresh and view the list of developer-signed apps on your device.Refresh app list
Click Refresh Installed Apps
Press the Refresh Installed Apps button. It shows “Loading…” during the operation.
App list behavior
- Only shows apps with developer certificates/provisioning profiles
- Does not include App Store apps
- List persists until you refresh or change devices
- Empty list means no developer apps are installed
The app list only includes applications installed with developer signatures (like those installed via Impactor). System apps and App Store apps are not shown.

Pairing files enable apps to access device-pairing certificates for certain operations.What are pairing files?
A pairing file allows an app to:- Maintain persistent pairing with your device
- Access pairing certificates even after expiration
- Communicate with device services
Installation process
When to use pairing files
Install pairing files when:- An app requires device pairing for functionality
- You’re developing tools that interact with device services
- An app displays pairing-related errors
Not all apps need pairing files. Only install them when specifically required by the app or for development purposes.
Status messages
The utilities screen uses color-coded status messages:- Green text: Successful operations
- Red text: Errors and failures
- Gray text: No device connected or neutral information
Common status messages

Troubleshooting
No apps appear after refresh
Possible causes:- No developer-signed apps installed on device
- Device not properly paired
- Communication error with device
- Try Trust Device first
- Install at least one app via Impactor
- Ensure device is unlocked
- Reconnect the device
Trust Device fails
Possible causes:- Device not trusted on iOS device
- USB connection issues
- Device locked or in restricted mode
- Check your iOS device for a trust prompt
- Tap Trust on your device if prompted
- Try a different USB cable or port
- Restart the device and try again
Pairing file installation fails
Possible causes:- App doesn’t have the required pairing file path
- Insufficient permissions
- Device connection interrupted
- Ensure the app was installed via Impactor (not from App Store)
- Try running Trust Device again
- Refresh the app list and retry
- Check that the device remains connected during installation
”macOS devices are not supported” error
This appears when a Mac is detected in the device list. Utilities only work with iOS devices. Switch to an iOS device in the device dropdown.Device connection handling
Automatic refresh on device change
When you:- Connect a new device
- Switch devices in the dropdown
- Disconnect the current device
- Refreshes the app list
- Clears previous status messages
- Updates device information
Loading states
Operations show visual feedback:- Trust Device → “Pairing…”
- Refresh Installed Apps → “Loading…”
- Buttons are disabled during operations
