Overview

The grade selection interface is your starting point in Sociales. You’ll choose from three grade levels (4th, 5th, and 6th grade) or access the General Summary for comprehensive MEP 2026 exam preparation.

Available Grade Levels

Sociales offers content for the following levels:
  • 4to Grado - Explores Costa Rica’s geography and history in depth
  • 5to Grado - Focuses on modern society and the environment
  • 6to Grado - Covers key events and reforms that shaped the country
  • Resumen General - Comprehensive preparation for MEP 2026 exams

How to Select Your Grade

1

Navigate to Grade Selection

From the home page, click the Ver Grados button in the hero section, or scroll down to the “Selecciona tu Grado” section.
2

Browse Available Grades

You’ll see a grid of grade cards, each displaying:
  • An icon representing the grade content
  • The grade name and level
  • A brief description of what you’ll learn
  • An availability status badge
3

Choose Your Grade Level

Click on any available grade card. Cards marked with Nivel Activo and Disponible status are ready to access immediately.
4

Access Lessons

After selecting a grade, you’ll be redirected to the lessons list page where you can browse all available lessons for that grade.
Each grade level features a unique icon and theme:
  • 4to Grado uses the map icon (🗺️)
  • 5to Grado uses the nature icon (🌿)
  • 6to Grado uses the scroll icon (📜)
  • Resumen General uses the graduation cap icon (🎓)

Understanding Card Status

Grade cards display different status indicators:
  • Nivel Activo + Disponible (green badge) - Grade is fully available and ready to explore
  • Próximamente (with lock icon 🔒) - Content is coming soon and not yet accessible
You can always return to grade selection by clicking the ← Volver a Materias link at the top of the page.

What Happens Next

Once you select a grade:
  1. The system loads all lessons specific to that grade level
  2. You’re taken to the lessons list view where each lesson is displayed as a card
  3. From there, you can select any lesson to start learning
  4. Each lesson includes educational content and an interactive quiz
If a grade has no lessons available yet, you’ll see a “Próximamente” message indicating that content is being prepared for that level.
