Overview

Postiz enables you to schedule and publish content to Facebook Pages with support for photos, videos, links, and comprehensive analytics.
Facebook Pages Only: This integration works with Facebook Pages, not personal profiles.

Authentication

Facebook uses OAuth 2.0 authentication with long-lived access tokens.

Page-Level Analytics

Track key page metrics over time:
  • Page Impressions: Unique impressions

Rate Limits

Rate Limits:
  • 100 concurrent posting jobs
  • No strict daily post limit
  • API rate limits apply per page

Page Discovery

Postiz discovers Facebook Pages through:
  1. Direct OAuth Selection: Pages you select during connection
  2. Business Manager: Pages managed through Business Manager
  3. Owned Pages: Pages you own
  4. Client Pages: Pages you manage for clients

Optimal Post Length

Keep posts under 500 characters for best engagement

Video Performance

Native Facebook videos (Reels) get better reach than linked videos

Image Specs

Use 1200x630px for link previews, 1080x1080px for photo posts

Posting Time

Best engagement: 1 PM - 3 PM weekdays

Troubleshooting

If you see “Error validating access token”:
  • Token may have expired (60-day expiry)
  • Reconnect your Facebook account
  • Ensure all permissions are granted
  • Check Facebook session hasn’t been invalidated
If your page isn’t showing:
  • Verify you’re an admin of the page
  • Check Business Manager permissions
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting
  • Ensure page isn’t restricted
Photo upload problems:
  • Reduce file size (under 4MB)
  • Use JPG or PNG format
  • Check image dimensions aren’t excessive
  • Verify account isn’t rate limited
