Boards are named collections of images. Use them to group images by project, mood, or any criteria you choose. Each board can be kept private or made public for sharing.

Creating a board

1

Open the Boards tab

Click Boards in the navigation bar.
2

Click Create Board

Click the Create Board button in the top-right of the Boards view.
3

Name your board

Enter a name for the board. Optionally add a description. Toggle Public if you want the board to be shareable.
4

Confirm

Click Create to save. The new board card appears in your board list immediately.

Adding images to a board

You can add an image to a board from two places: From the gallery (hover overlay):
  1. Hover over any gallery card.
  2. Click the bookmark icon button.
  3. Select an existing board from the dropdown, or choose Create board to make a new one inline.
From the image detail modal:
  1. Click an image to open its detail modal.
  2. Click the Save button.
  3. Pick a board from the dropdown. The button turns blue and reads Saved once the image is in any board.
An image cannot be added to the same board twice — Pindeck will display an error if you try.

Board detail view

Click View Board on any board card (or the eye icon) to open the board detail view. The detail view shows:
  • Board name and optional description in the header
  • A badge showing the image count and whether the board is Public
  • A masonry grid of all images in the board
Hovering over an image in the detail view reveals a remove button (red ×) in the top-right corner. Clicking it removes the image from the board without deleting it from your library.

Public vs private boards

SettingBehavior
Private (default)Only visible to you. Not shared externally.
PublicMarked with a blue “Public” badge. Can be accessed by others with the board link.
You can update a board’s visibility after creation by editing the board settings.

Board preview thumbnails

Each board card in the Boards list shows up to 4 thumbnail images from the board’s content as a preview strip. These are taken from the first 4 images in the board’s imageIds list.

Converting a board to a storyboard or deck

From any board card, two action buttons are available once the board has at least one image:

Convert to Storyboard

Creates a storyboard document from the board’s images using a template-based layout. The storyboard appears in your generations list.

Convert to Deck

Creates a pitch deck from the board’s images and opens the Deck composer immediately. All board images become slides in the deck.
Both buttons are disabled (grayed out) if the board has no images.
Build a board with your best images before converting it to a deck. The deck composer uses image order from the board, so curate intentionally.

Deleting a board

Click the trash icon on any board card to delete it. You will be asked to confirm. Deleting a board does not delete the images in it — it only removes the collection record.
