Keyboard shortcuts let you control almost every part of Color Palette without touching the mouse. Press / at any time to open the in-app hints overlay, which shows the same shortcuts listed here.
Shortcuts that require a specific view (palette vs. gradient) are noted in each table. Shortcuts marked “always available” work from any view, even when an overlay is open.

Palette

These shortcuts control the palette itself — adding colors, regenerating them, and changing how new colors relate to the locked ones.
KeyAction
A or SpaceAdd a new color to the palette
RReroll all unlocked colors
QCycle color relationship (random → complementary → analogous → …)
PCycle to the next color preset
Shift+PReroll colors within the current preset
IOpen the eyedropper / pick color from screen
MToggle rearrange mode (drag colors to reorder) — requires 2+ colors

Per-color (keys 1–9, 0)

Each color in your palette is assigned a number key: 1 for the first color, 2 for the second, and so on up to 9. The tenth color is mapped to 0. Combine modifier keys with a number to act on that specific color. These shortcuts only work in palette view.
KeysAction
19, 0Toggle lock on that color
Shift+19, 0Delete that color
Alt+19, 0Reroll that color
Shift+Alt+19, 0Open edit mode for that color
V then 19, 0View variations for that color
The V + number chord must be pressed within 500 ms. After pressing V, tap the number key before the window expires.
On macOS, modifier keys display as (Shift) and (Alt/Option). On Windows and Linux they display as Shift and Alt.

These shortcuts handle saving, opening, sharing, and exporting your palette. They are active in palette view when at least one color is present (save, copy link, and export require colors).

CCopy a shareable link to the clipboard
EExport palette (code formats: CSS, JSON, Tailwind, SCSS) or gradient export in gradient view
