Overview

TrackersList maintains a blacklist of trackers that are excluded from the public lists. This ensures users only receive reliable, safe, and functional trackers. The blacklist is regularly updated as part of the automated testing process.
The blacklist helps maintain the quality and reliability of TrackersList by filtering out problematic trackers before they reach users.

Blacklist Categories

Trackers are blacklisted for several distinct reasons:

Antivirus Detection

Flagged by antivirus software as potentially malicious

Technical Malfunction

Not responding or returning errors consistently

Fake Seeds

Artificially inflating seed/peer counts

Registered Torrents Only

Private trackers requiring registration

Administrator Request

Removed at the request of the tracker admin

Duplicate Trackers

Same tracker accessible via multiple URLs/IPs

Blacklist Statistics

As of the latest update, the blacklist contains 342 entries across various categories.

Examples by Category

Detected by Antivirus Software

These trackers are flagged by antivirus software as potentially dangerous:
Trackers flagged by antivirus software may contain malware, adware, or engage in malicious activity. They are permanently excluded.
https://tr.highstar.shop:443/announce
http://btracker.top:11451/announce
https://tr.fuckbitcoin.xyz:443/announce
https://tracker.jiesen.life:8443/announce
http://p2p.0g.cx:6969/announce
Trackers flagged by antivirus may:
  • Inject malicious scripts or ads
  • Harvest user data without consent
  • Redirect to phishing sites
  • Distribute malware payloads
  • Perform man-in-the-middle attacks
Recommendation: Never manually add these trackers to your client.

Malfunctioning Trackers

Trackers that consistently fail to respond or return errors:
http://bt-club.ws/announce # error
http://open.touki.ru/announce.php # malfunction
udp://anidex.moe:6969/announce # malfunction
http://torrentsmd.com:8080/announce # malfunction
http://irrenhaus.dyndns.dk:80/announce.php # malfunction
http://carbon-bonsai-621.appspot.com/announce # malfunction
http://data-bg.net:80/announce.php # malfunction
udp://extracker.dahrkael.net:6969/announce # malfunction
Common causes:
  • Server down - Hosting expired or terminated
  • Configuration errors - Tracker software misconfigured
  • Network issues - Unreachable due to ISP blocks
  • Abandoned projects - Maintainer stopped supporting it
  • DDoS protection - Overly aggressive rate limiting
  • SSL/TLS errors - Certificate expired or invalid
Yes! TrackersList’s automated bot continuously checks all trackers, including blacklisted ones.If a previously malfunctioning tracker:
  1. Starts responding correctly
  2. Passes health checks for multiple days
  3. Shows stable performance
…it can be automatically removed from the blacklist and re-added to the public lists.

Fake Seeds

Trackers that report false peer/seed counts:
http://bt.okmp3.ru:2710/announce # fake seeds
Fake seed trackers artificially inflate peer counts to appear more popular. This misleads users about torrent availability.
TrackersList’s bot detects fake seeds by:
  1. Cross-referencing peer counts across multiple trackers
  2. Testing connectivity to reported peers
  3. Analyzing patterns in reported statistics
  4. Community reports from users and other tracker operators
Trackers consistently reporting fake data are permanently blacklisted.

Administrator Requests

Trackers removed at the request of their system administrators:
udp://tracker.breizh.pm:6969/announce # requested by sysadmin
http://tracker.breizh.pm:6969/announce # requested by sysadmin
Tracker administrators may request removal for various legitimate reasons:
  • Transitioning to a private/invite-only tracker
  • Server capacity limitations
  • Legal or policy concerns
  • Network infrastructure changes

Registered Torrents Only

Private or semi-private trackers that only work with registered torrents:
Some trackers only accept torrents that were:
  • Created specifically for that tracker
  • Registered in their database
  • Associated with a user account
Public trackers, in contrast, accept any torrent using the BitTorrent protocol.
http://tracker2.postman.i2p/announce.php # registered torrents
http://ehtracker.org:80/1/announce # registered torrents
http://www.megatorrents.kg:80/announce.php # registered torrents
http://bt.beatrice-raws.org:80/announce # registered torrents
http://anidex.moe:6969/announce # registered torrents
http://bt.nnm-club.info:2710/announce # registered torrents
http://tracker.xfapi.top:7070/announce # registered torrents
http://torrents.linuxmint.com:80/announce.php # registered torrents
http://tracker.ddunlimited.net:6969/announce # registered torrents
While these are legitimate trackers, they’re excluded from public lists because:
  • They won’t work with arbitrary torrents
  • They require user accounts/registration
  • They’re designed for specific communities
  • Adding them to random torrents wastes resources

Duplicate Trackers

Multiple URLs pointing to the same tracker:
udp://tracker.zupix.online:1333/announce # duplicate of udp://tracker.zupix.online:6969/announce
udp://tracker.zupix.online:1337/announce # duplicate of udp://tracker.zupix.online:6969/announce
udp://zupix.online:6969/announce # duplicate of udp://tracker.zupix.online:6969/announce

http://opentrackr.org:1337/announce # duplicate of http://tracker.opentrackr.org:1337/announce
http://www.peckservers.com:9000/announce # duplicate of http://tracker.peckservers.com:9000/announce

http://tracker.internetwarriors.net:1337/announce # duplicate of http://open.tracker.cl:1337/announce
udp://tracker.internetwarriors.net:1337/announce # duplicate of udp://open.tracker.cl:1337/announce
TrackersList’s bot identifies duplicates by:
  1. IP address matching - Different domains pointing to same server
  2. Response fingerprinting - Identical tracker software responses
  3. Timing correlation - Same uptime/downtime patterns
  4. Administrative verification - WHOIS and DNS records
Removing duplicates:
  • Reduces list size - Makes lists more manageable
  • Prevents redundant connections - Clients don’t connect to the same tracker multiple times
  • Improves performance - Less overhead in BitTorrent clients
  • Cleaner data - Easier to analyze tracker health

Sample of Duplicate Trackers

Many popular trackers have multiple mirrors or alternate domains:
# RARBG duplicates (all point to same infrastructure)
udp://9.rarbg.to:2710/announce # duplicate of udp://9.rarbg.com:2810/announce
udp://9.rarbg.to:2730/announce # duplicate of udp://9.rarbg.com:2810/announce
udp://9.rarbg.me:2780/announce # duplicate of udp://9.rarbg.com:2810/announce
udp://7.rarbg.me:2710/announce # duplicate of udp://9.rarbg.com:2810/announce
udp://8.rarbg.com:2710/announce # duplicate of udp://9.rarbg.com:2810/announce

# Leech.ie duplicates
udp://t1.leech.ie:1337/announce # duplicate of udp://tracker.leech.ie:1337/announce
udp://t2.leech.ie:1337/announce # duplicate of udp://tracker.leech.ie:1337/announce
udp://t3.leech.ie:1337/announce # duplicate of udp://tracker.leech.ie:1337/announce

# T-1.org duplicates
udp://y.t-1.org:6969/announce # duplicate of udp://x.t-1.org:6969/announce
udp://tracker1.t-1.org:6969/announce # duplicate of udp://tracker.t-1.org:6969/announce

Deprecation and Redirects

Some trackers are deprecated by their owners or redirect to other URLs:
http://tracker.enitin.xyz:80/announce # redirects to https://tracker.enitin.xyz/announce

https://t1.leech.ie:443/announce # deprecated by owner
http://t1.leech.ie:80/announce # deprecated by owner
wss://ws.peer.ooo:443/announce # deprecated by owner
When a tracker redirects to a new URL, the old URL is blacklisted and the new URL is added to the active lists.
