Get your first gallery up and running in minutes

Install the plugin

Download Visual Portfolio from the WordPress plugin repository or install it directly from your WordPress admin panel under Plugins → Add New. Search for “Visual Portfolio” and click Install Now, then Activate.

Add a new gallery block

In the WordPress block editor, add a new Visual Portfolio block. You’ll see the visual editor interface where you can configure your gallery settings, choose a layout, and add content sources.
The Visual Portfolio block integrates seamlessly with Gutenberg and provides a live preview of your gallery as you configure it.

Select your content source

Choose what content to display in your gallery. You can select from:
  • Images — Upload images directly or select from your media library
  • Posts — Display posts from any post type with advanced query filters
  • Portfolio Items — Use the built-in portfolio custom post type
Configure your query filters, set the number of items to display, and choose ordering options.

Choose a layout and style

Select from multiple layout options (Masonry, Grid, Justified, Tiles, or Slider) and choose an item style (Classic, Fade, Fly, Emerge). Customize colors, spacing, and hover effects to match your site’s design.
Try the Masonry layout with the Fade item style for a modern, elegant gallery appearance.
