Back-office API
For the back-office, you can enable the API at two levels:- Global level — in the system configuration under Application settings.
- Organization level — in the organization configuration under Application settings.
Storefront API
For the storefront, you can enable the API at three levels:- Global level — in the system configuration under Application settings.
- Organization level — in the organization configuration under Application settings.
- Website level — in the website configuration under Application settings.
The API feature is disabled for both back-office and storefront by default. You must explicitly enable it at the appropriate configuration level before making API requests.
