Quickstart Guide

Get up and running with Teak in just a few simple steps. This guide will help you create your first card and explore the core features.

Create Your Account

Visit teakvault.com and sign up for a free account. You can use email, Google, or other authentication providers.Once signed in, you’ll see your empty knowledge hub ready to be filled with your ideas and inspirations.

Create Your First Card

Click the “Add Card” button to create your first card. You have two quick options:Save a Text Note
  • Click “Text” card type
  • Type your thought or idea
  • Press Save
Save a Link
  • Click “Link” card type
  • Paste any URL (try a favorite article or blog post)
  • Teak will automatically extract the title, description, and thumbnail
  • Press Save
When you save a link, Teak’s AI processing pipeline automatically extracts metadata, generates tags, and creates a summary. This happens in the background and usually completes within seconds.

Explore AI-Generated Tags

Once your card is created, click on it to view the details. You’ll see:
  • Auto-generated tags - AI-powered categorization
  • Summary - Concise overview of the content (for links and longer content)
  • Metadata - Extracted title, description, and images
These tags and summaries make it easy to find your cards later, even if you don’t remember exactly what you saved.

Search Your Cards

Use the search bar at the top to find any card. Teak performs full-text search across:
  • Card titles and content
  • AI-generated summaries
  • Tags
  • Link metadata
  • Transcripts (for audio/video)
Try searching for keywords from your saved cards to see real-time results.

Organize with Favorites

Mark important cards as favorites by clicking the star icon. This helps you quickly access your most valuable content.You can filter your view to show only favorited cards using the filter options.
