Welcome to SFLUV

This guide will walk you through creating your account, requesting your first role, and taking your first action on the platform.
SFLUV uses blockchain wallet authentication via Privy. You’ll connect your wallet to create and access your account.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Connect Your Wallet

Navigate to the SFLUV platform and click “Connect Wallet”. You can:
  • Connect an existing Ethereum wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.)
  • Create a new embedded wallet through Privy
  • Use email login which generates a wallet for you

Complete Your Profile

After connecting, you’ll be prompted to:
  • Enter your name
  • Provide your email address
  • Verify your email (check your inbox for verification link)
Email verification is required for most platform features. Make sure to click the verification link sent to your email.

Explore the Merchant Map

Once logged in, you’ll land on the merchant map showing all local businesses accepting SFLUV currency. You can:
  • Browse merchants by location
  • View merchant details and accepted payment methods
  • See your current account balance

Step 2: Request Your First Role

All users start with basic access. To participate in workflows, you need to request specific roles.
Improvers complete workflow steps and earn currency.

Navigate to Settings

Click on your profile menu and select “Settings” or navigate to /settings

Request Improver Status

Find the “Request Improver Status” section and click the request button.You’ll need to provide:
  • Your motivation for joining
  • Skills or experience (optional)
  • References (if required by your community)

Wait for Approval

An admin will review your request. You’ll receive an email notification when approved.
Approval times vary by community, typically 1-3 business days.

Step 3: Take Your First Action

Now that you have a role, here’s what you can do:

As an Improver

Browse Available Workflows

Go to /improver to see your workflow feed. You’ll see:
  • Approved workflows with available steps
  • Workflows matching your credentials
  • Bounty amounts for each step

Claim a Workflow Step

Click on a workflow to view details, then:
  • Review the step requirements and work items
  • Check if you meet any credential requirements
  • Click “Claim Step” to assign it to yourself
Steps unlock sequentially. You can only claim the next available step in a workflow.

Start and Complete the Step

Once claimed:
  1. Click “Start Step” to begin work
  2. Complete all required work items:
    • Take required photos (camera-only if specified)
    • Provide written responses
    • Select dropdown options
  3. Submit your completed work
Make sure to complete all non-optional work items before submitting.

Receive Payment

After supervisor approval (if required) and workflow completion:
  • Payment is automatically processed
  • Funds appear in your connected wallet
  • View payment history in /wallets

As a Proposer

Create Your First Workflow

Navigate to /proposer and click “Create Workflow”You can:
  • Start from scratch
  • Use a template from the library
  • Clone one of your previous workflows

Define Workflow Details

Fill in the workflow information:Basic Details:
  • Title and description
  • Start date
  • Recurrence (one-time, daily, weekly, monthly)
Roles and Steps:
  • Create roles with credential requirements
  • Add sequential steps assigned to roles
  • Set bounty amounts for each step
  • Define work items (photos, responses, dropdowns)
Supervisor (Optional):
  • Assign a supervisor to oversee completion
  • Set supervisor bounty

Submit for Voting

Once your workflow is complete:
  • Review all details carefully
  • Submit for community vote
  • Track voting progress at /proposer
Voting Requirements:
  • 50% quorum must be reached
  • 24-hour countdown after quorum
  • Can be approved early if >50% of all voters agree

Monitor Workflow Progress

After approval:
  • View workflow status and step completion
  • See which improvers claimed steps
  • Track to completion and payout

As a Voter

Access Voting Queue

Navigate to /voter to see:
  • Pending workflows awaiting votes
  • Workflow deletion proposals
  • Current vote counts and quorum status

Review and Vote

For each workflow:
  1. Read the description and requirements
  2. Review steps and bounty amounts
  3. Check budget availability
  4. Cast your vote: Approve or Deny
Your vote helps ensure quality projects that benefit the community and maintain budget sustainability.

Track Vote Outcomes

Monitor:
  • Quorum progress (need 50% participation)
  • Current approve/deny counts
  • Countdown timer after quorum
  • Final decisions
