Overview
Merge Icons mode consolidates all enabled providers into a single menu bar status item, helping you save precious menu bar space. Instead of showing separate icons for each provider, you get one unified icon with an intelligent switcher interface.How It Works
Enable Merge Icons
Open Settings → Display and toggle “Merge Icons” to combine all providers into one status item

Click the menu bar icon to reveal a switcher that lets you navigate between providers
Provider Switcher
The switcher interface makes it easy to jump between providers:- Menu bar click: Opens the provider switcher
- Provider selection: Click any provider to view its detailed usage card
- Dynamic ordering: Provider order follows your Settings → Providers configuration
- Status indicators: Icons show errors, staleness, or incident overlays per provider
The menu bar icon in Merge Icons mode uses the selected provider’s data to render the two-bar meter. When Overview is active, it shows an aggregate or primary provider’s status.
Overview Tab
The Overview tab provides a consolidated view of your most important providers:Configuration
- Open Settings → Display → “Overview tab providers”
- Select up to 3 providers to include in the Overview
- The Overview tab appears in the switcher when providers are selected

- Session usage: Current 5-hour/session window status
- Weekly usage: 7-day rolling window (when available)
- Reset countdown: Time until next limit refresh
- Error states: Dimmed rows indicate stale data or fetch failures

Icon Rendering in Merge Mode
The unified menu bar icon adapts based on your current view:- Selected provider: Shows the two-bar meter for the currently displayed provider
- Overview active: Displays a representative status (typically the first selected provider)
- Fill behavior: Respects the “Show usage as used” setting (remaining vs. consumed)
- Dimming: Icon dims when any provider data is stale or errored
- Status overlays: Incident indicators appear when any monitored provider has issues
Switching Between Modes
You can toggle Merge Icons on and off at any time:- Separate icons mode: Each enabled provider gets its own menu bar status item
- Merge Icons mode: All providers share a single status item with switcher
- No app restart required: The menu bar updates immediately
Example Workflows
Monitoring 3 Key Providers
- Enable Codex, Claude, and Cursor in Settings → Providers
- Turn on Merge Icons in Settings → Display
- Add all three to “Overview tab providers”
- Click the menu bar icon to see all three at once
- Click any row to dive into detailed usage for that provider
Space-Constrained Menu Bar
- Enable 10+ providers for comprehensive tracking
- Turn on Merge Icons to use just one menu bar slot
