Beta Status

This is a beta release. The main objective is to collect diverse feedback and identify potential issues before the stable version is launched.
The TeamSpeak 6 Server is currently under active development. While it provides core functionality for voice communication, some features are still being refined and developed.

What This Means

Feature Development: The dedicated server software for TeamSpeak 6 is not yet fully feature-complete. TeamSpeak is committed to delivering the complete TS6 experience for self-hosted servers. Potential Instability: Some of the new features may be unstable or subject to change as development continues. You may encounter bugs or unexpected behavior. Active Development: The server is being actively improved based on community feedback and testing. Expect regular updates and changes throughout the beta period.

Known Limitations

No TeamSpeak 3 Migration

TeamSpeak 3 Server licenses are not compatible with TeamSpeak 6 Servers.
There is currently no migration path available between TeamSpeak 3 and TeamSpeak 6:
  • TS3 licenses cannot be used with TS6 servers
  • User data and configurations cannot be automatically migrated
  • You must set up a new TeamSpeak 6 server from scratch
If you need to maintain a TeamSpeak 3 server, continue running it separately. The two versions cannot interoperate.

Beta License

The TeamSpeak 6 Server beta includes a 32-slot license with the following characteristics:
  • Capacity: 32 simultaneous connections
  • Duration: Renewed every two months automatically
  • Cost: Free during the beta/evaluation period
  • Validity: Throughout the entire beta phase
Important Notes:
  • The license renews automatically - no manual action required
  • It is not yet possible to obtain or upgrade to a larger license for TeamSpeak 6
  • Licensing options and pricing will be finalized before the stable release
If you require more than 32 slots during the beta period, consider renting an official TeamSpeak 6 server at myteamspeak.com/communities.
