How Notifications Work
When an event is triggered through the PingPilot API:- Authentication: Your API key is validated
- Event Processing: The event data is formatted for each platform
- Multi-Channel Delivery: Notifications are sent simultaneously to all configured channels:
- Discord: Rich embeds with color coding and structured fields
- Telegram: Text-based notifications with emoji formatting
- Email: HTML-formatted emails with event details
- Delivery Tracking: Event delivery status is tracked in your dashboard
Configuration Requirements
To receive notifications, you need to configure:Set up Discord
Add your Discord User ID in account settings. See the Discord integration guide.
Link Telegram
Connect your Telegram account using the PingPilot bot. See the Telegram integration guide.
Verify Email
Your email is automatically configured from your account. See the Email integration guide.
Notification Format
Each platform receives notifications with:- Event Category: The category name with custom emoji
- Description: Custom or default event description
- Timestamp: When the event occurred
- Custom Fields: Any additional data you send with the event
- Color Coding: Visual categorization (Discord and Email)
Delivery Status
You can track notification delivery status in your dashboard:- DELIVERED: Successfully sent to all channels
- FAILED: One or more channels failed to receive the notification
