Years 7-8Foundation mathematics students competing at the same level
KS4 Leaderboard
Years 9-11GCSE-level students tackling more advanced challenges
KS5 Leaderboard
Years 12-13A-Level students solving university-prep problems
You only compete with students in your own key stage, ensuring challenges and rankings are appropriate for your academic year.
How Points Are Earned
Challenge Completion
Points are awarded when you complete entire challenges (all answer boxes correct):- +3 points: First person to complete a challenge
- +1 point: Subsequent completions of the same challenge
Points Accumulation
Your leaderboard entry tracks:- Total Score: Cumulative points from all completed challenges
- Last Updated: Timestamp of your most recent point gain
- Ranking: Your position relative to other students in your key stage

Each key stage leaderboard shows:- Top 20 students by score
- Student names
- Total points
- Last activity timestamp

How Your Score Updates

Automatic Entry Creation
You don’t need to manually register for the leaderboard:- First time you complete a challenge, a leaderboard entry is automatically created
- Your key stage is used to place you on the correct leaderboard
- Entry persists across your entire time on the platform
Score Persistence
Your leaderboard scores:- Accumulate over time (never reset unless manually adjusted by administrators)
- Survive across sessions - log out and back in without losing progress
- Are tied to your user account and key stage
If administrators change your key stage, your leaderboard entries remain separate for each key stage you’ve participated in.
