Best Practices

1

Categorize transactions regularly

Accurate categories lead to meaningful insights. Review and categorize uncategorized transactions weekly.
2

Use consistent time periods

Compare the same period length (e.g., always 90 days) to identify meaningful trends.
3

Check insights monthly

Review your analytics at the end of each month to stay aware of spending patterns.
4

Act on anomalies

If you see unexpected spikes in certain categories, investigate to ensure all transactions are accurate.

Limitations

Current limitations of the analytics feature:
  • No currency conversion: Multi-currency amounts are shown separately, not converted to a base currency
  • No custom date ranges: Only predefined periods (30/90/365 days) are available
  • No budget comparisons: Charts show actuals only, not vs. budget
  • No export: Cannot export chart data to CSV/Excel directly
These features may be added in future updates based on user feedback.
