Bulk Crap Uninstaller features a comprehensive interface designed for efficient application management. This guide covers the main components of the user interface.

Main Window Layout

The main window is divided into several key areas:

Application List View

The central area displays all installed applications in a detailed list view with columns for:
  • Application Name - Display name of the installed application
  • Publisher - Software publisher or developer
  • Version - Installed version number
  • Size - Estimated installation size
  • Install Date - When the application was installed
  • Rating - Community ratings (when enabled)
  • Certificates - Digital signature validation status
The list view supports:
  • Single and multi-selection
  • Checkbox mode for batch operations
  • Grouping by various criteria
  • Column sorting (click column headers)
  • Column reordering (drag and drop headers)
You can toggle between checkbox mode and standard selection mode in Settings > Display > Use checkboxes for selection.

Toolbar

Located at the top of the window, the toolbar provides quick access to common operations:
  • Uninstall - Start uninstall process for selected applications
  • Quiet Uninstall - Uninstall silently without user interaction
  • Properties - View detailed information about selected applications
  • Refresh - Reload the application list
  • Selection tools - Select all, select none, invert selection
You can hide the toolbar via View > Display > Show Toolbar if you prefer using menu commands or keyboard shortcuts.

Settings Sidebar

The right sidebar (when enabled) contains filtering and search options:
  • Search box - Quickly find applications by name
  • Filter controls - Show/hide specific application types
  • Advanced filters - Create custom filtering rules

Status Bar

The bottom status bar displays:
  • Total number of applications (filtered and total)
  • Combined size of displayed applications
  • Current operation status
  • Processing progress indicators
The menu bar provides access to all features organized into logical groups:

File Menu

  • Load Uninstaller List - Load a saved list of applications
  • Reload Uninstallers - Refresh the application list
  • Export Selected - Export selected applications to file
  • Exit - Close the application

Basic Operations Menu

  • Uninstall - Standard uninstall for selected applications
  • Quiet Uninstall - Silent uninstall without prompts
  • Modify - Run the modify/repair operation
  • Properties - View detailed application properties

Advanced Operations Menu

  • Manual Uninstall - Advanced junk removal for selected applications
  • Open Registry Key - Open the application’s registry entry in regedit
  • Delete Registry Entry - Remove registry entries
  • Create Backup - Export registry entries to .reg file
  • Disable Autostart - Disable startup entries
  • MSI Options - Special operations for MSI-based applications
Advanced operations can affect system stability if used incorrectly. Always create backups before modifying registry entries or removing system components.

Tools Menu

  • Clean Program Files - Find and remove orphaned folders in Program Files
  • Uninstall from Directory - Attempt to uninstall based on installation folder
  • Open Programs and Features - Open Windows’ built-in uninstaller
  • Settings - Access application configuration

View Menu

  • Display Toolbar - Toggle toolbar visibility
  • Display Settings Panel - Toggle settings sidebar
  • Display Status Bar - Toggle status bar
  • Show Color Legend - Display color coding legend
  • Show Tree Map - Display visual size representation
  • Use System Theme - Toggle dark/light theme

Help Menu

  • Check for Updates - Manually check for application updates
  • Submit Feedback - Send feedback to developers
  • About - View version and license information

Tree Map Visualization

When enabled (View > Show Tree Map), the bottom panel displays a visual representation of installed applications:
  • Each rectangle represents an application
  • Size is proportional to disk space used
  • Colors indicate application type and status
  • Click to select, Ctrl+Click to add to selection
  • Right-click for context menu
The tree map is particularly useful for identifying large applications consuming significant disk space.

Color Coding

Applications are color-coded to indicate their status and type:
  • Green - Valid applications with good certificates
  • Red - Invalid or problematic entries
  • Orange - Applications without valid certificates
  • Blue - Store apps (Microsoft Store/Windows Apps)
  • Purple - Orphaned applications (no uninstaller found)
  • Gray - Protected system components
  • Yellow - Windows updates
To view the complete legend, enable it via View > Show Color Legend.
Color coding can be adjusted for colorblind users in Settings > Miscellaneous > Colorblind mode.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Common keyboard shortcuts for efficient navigation:
  • F5 - Reload uninstallers
  • F3 / Ctrl+F - Focus search box
  • Delete - Uninstall selected
  • Shift+Delete - Quiet uninstall
  • Ctrl+Shift+Delete - Manual uninstall
  • Alt+Enter - Properties
  • Ctrl+A - Select all
  • Ctrl+C - Copy full information
  • Ctrl+B - Create registry backup
  • Ctrl+R - Open in regedit
  • Ctrl+P - Settings
  • Ctrl+O - Load uninstaller list
  • Alt+F4 - Exit

Context Menu

Right-click any application (or press the Apps/Menu key) to access:
  • Uninstall / Quiet Uninstall
  • Manual Uninstall
  • Properties
  • Modify
  • Open in File Explorer - Navigate to install/uninstall locations
  • Search Online - Search for application information
  • Copy to Clipboard - Various copy options
  • Advanced Operations - Registry, MSI, and startup options
