KnowledgeCheckr offers two distinct modes for completing assessments: practice mode for learning and exam mode for formal evaluation.

Accessing Checks

To take a check, you need a share token provided by the check creator. Access checks via:
  • Direct URL: /checks/[share_token] for examination mode
  • Direct URL: /checks/[share_token]/practice for practice mode
  • Shared links from check creators
  • The discover page (if the check is publicly accessible)
You must be authenticated to take checks. Anonymous users are supported if the check allows anonymous access in its settings.

Practice Mode

Practice mode is designed for learning without pressure. It provides a low-stakes environment to familiarize yourself with content.

Features

  • No Time Limit: Take as long as you need to answer questions
  • Immediate Feedback: See if your answers are correct right away
  • Free Navigation: Jump between questions in any order
  • Category Selection: If the check has multiple categories, choose which topics to practice
  • Progress Tracking: Visual indicator shows how many questions you’ve answered
  • Unlimited Attempts: Practice as many times as allowed by the check settings

    Examination Interface

    The exam interface includes:
    • Page Heading: Shows the check name
    • Question Wrapper: Displays the current question and answer options
    • Navigation Menu: Shows all questions and your progress (appears on the side on larger screens)
    • Timer: Counts down remaining time

    After Submission

    Once you submit your examination:
    • Your answers are recorded and scored
    • Results are saved to your user profile
    • You can view your score and performance
    • Remaining attempts are decremented

    Answer Types

Different question types require different interaction patterns:
    • Single Choice: Select one answer from multiple options
    • Multiple Choice: Select all correct answers from the options
    • Drag and Drop: Arrange items in the correct order
Pay attention to question instructions. Multiple choice questions often indicate “select all that apply.”

    • Time Management: Monitor the timer and pace yourself
    • Answer All Questions: Even if unsure, provide an answer for every question

    No Attempts Remaining

You’ve used all allowed attempts. Contact the check creator if you need additional attempts.

    • Your current answers are automatically submitted
    • Unanswered questions are marked as incomplete
