Cookie Issues
Invalid or Incomplete Cookies
Symptoms:- Error message: “The cookies provided are invalid or incomplete”
- Missing required cookies error
- Make sure you’re copying the entire cookie string from the Network tab
- Required cookies are:
ltmid_v2,ltoken_v2, andltuid_v2 - Don’t manually edit the cookie string
- Copy everything after “Cookie:” in the Request Headers section
- The cookie string should be very long (several lines)

### Cookie Expiration
**Symptoms:**
- Commands suddenly stop working
- "Failed to fetch data" errors
- Automatic check-ins failing
**Solution:**
Cookies expire periodically (usually after a few months). To refresh:
1. Go to `/hoyolink`
2. Click "Unlink HoYoLAB Account" (this won't delete your registration)
3. Click "Add HoYoLAB Account"
4. Get fresh cookies from HoYoLAB following the guide
5. Paste the new cookies

You need to re-link your account if you:
- Log out of HoYoLAB
- Clear browser cookies
- Change your HoYoLAB password
- Use a different browser

### No Games Found
**Symptoms:**
- "No games found linked to this account"
- "No supported linked games found"
**Solution:**
1. Verify games are linked to your HoYoLAB account:
- Visit [HoYoLAB](https://www.hoyolab.com/)
- Go to your profile
- Check "Game Accounts" section
2. Make sure your HoYoLAB privacy settings allow data access:
- Go to Account Settings → Privacy Settings
- Enable "Display my game data"
3. Wait 5-10 minutes after linking a new game to HoYoLAB
4. Try unlinking and re-linking with `/hoyolink`
## Command Errors
### "You are not registered"
**Solution:**
Run `/register` first before using any other commands. Registration is required to use HoYoVista.
### "None of your linked games are supported for this command"
**Cause:**
Some commands only work with specific games.
**Feature availability:**
- `/profile`: Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero only
- `/income`: Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero only
- `/redeem`: All except Honkai Impact 3rd (currently under maintenance)
- `/notes`: All games
- `/check-in`: All games
### "This command is currently under maintenance"
**Affected commands:**
- `/redeem` - Code redemption feature
**Solution:**
This is a known issue. The feature is being worked on. Check `/roadmap` for updates.
### Cooldown Errors
**Symptoms:**
- "You're on cooldown"
- "Please wait X seconds"
**Solution:**
Commands have cooldowns to prevent abuse:
- `/check-in`: 30 minutes (1800 seconds)
- `/redeem`: 60 seconds
- `/notes`, `/profile`, `/income`: 30 seconds
- `/settings`, `/hoyolink`: 30 seconds
- `/register`: 10 seconds
Wait for the cooldown period to expire before trying again.
### Rate Limit in Settings
**Symptoms:**
- "Whoa, you're updating settings too quickly!"
- "Please wait X seconds before trying again"
**Cause:**
Settings updates are limited to 5 changes per 30 seconds.
**Solution:**
Wait 30 seconds and try again. The rate limit will reset automatically.
## Check-in Issues
### Check-in Failed with Error Code
Common error codes and their meanings:
**Code `-5003`**
- **Meaning:** Already checked in today
- **Solution:** Wait until tomorrow. Each game allows one check-in per day.
**Code `-100`**
- **Meaning:** Invalid or expired cookies
- **Solution:** Re-link your account with `/hoyolink`
**Code `-10001`**
- **Meaning:** Invalid request parameters
- **Solution:** Try again in a few minutes. If persists, re-link account.
**Code `401` or `403`**
- **Meaning:** Authentication failed
- **Solution:** Your cookies expired. Get new cookies via `/hoyolink`
**Code `429`**
- **Meaning:** Rate limited by HoYoLAB
- **Solution:** You've made too many requests. Wait 1 hour before trying again.
### Automatic Check-in Not Working
**Checklist:**
1. Is auto check-in enabled in `/settings` → "Check-in Settings"?
2. Is auto check-in enabled for the specific game?
3. Are your cookies still valid? (test with `/notes` or `/check-in`)
4. Check DM notifications (if enabled) for error messages
5. Automatic check-ins run between 1:00-2:00 AM UTC daily
**Solution:**
If automatic check-ins fail consistently:
1. Verify settings: `/settings` → "Check-in Settings"
2. Test manual check-in: `/check-in`
3. If manual works but auto doesn't, use `/feedback` to report
4. Re-link cookies if you see authentication errors
### "No checkin details available"
**Cause:**
Some games don't provide detailed check-in reward information through the API.
**Solution:**
This is normal. The check-in was successful, but HoYoLAB didn't return reward details. You can verify in the HoYoLAB app or website.
## Real-Time Notes Issues
### "An error occurred while fetching your notes"
**Common causes:**
1. **Expired cookies** - Re-link with `/hoyolink`
2. **HoYoLAB server issues** - Try again in a few minutes
3. **Network timeout** - Try again
4. **Game not fully set up** - Some features require game progression
**For Genshin Impact:**
- Serenitea Pot must be unlocked for Realm Currency
- Parametric Transformer must be obtained to show status
**For Honkai Impact 3rd:**
- Memorial Arena must be unlocked
- Superstring Dimension requires Captain Level progress
### Data Appears Delayed
**Expected behavior:**
- Genshin Impact: ~1 hour delay
- Honkai: Star Rail: Real-time to a few minutes
- Zenless Zone Zero: ~2 hour delay
- Honkai Impact 3rd: ~5-10 minutes
These delays are from HoYoLAB's API, not the bot.
## Profile & Income Issues
### "An error occurred while fetching your data"
**For `/profile`:**
1. Make sure you selected a supported game (Genshin or ZZZ only)
2. Check if Enka Network is accessible (third-party service)
3. Your profile must be public on HoYoLAB
4. Wait a few minutes and try again
**For `/income`:**
1. Supported games: Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero only
2. Make sure you've earned resources in the selected month
3. The ledger feature must be enabled in HoYoLAB settings
4. Check if the selected month has data (current or past 2 months)
### Profile Shows Outdated Stats
**Cause:**
Profile data comes from Enka Network, which caches player data.
**Solution:**
1. Update your showcase in the game
2. Wait 5-10 minutes
3. Try `/profile` again
4. If still outdated, the data will refresh on the next Enka update cycle
### Income Shows Zero or Incomplete
**Possible reasons:**
1. Selected a month where you didn't play
2. The month just started (data takes time to populate)
3. Only includes non-purchase resources (excludes top-ups)
4. First-time fetch can take a few minutes to generate
## Permission & Access Issues
### Bot Not Responding
**Checklist:**
1. Is the bot online? (check bot status in member list)
2. Are you using slash commands? (type `/` to see available commands)
3. Do you have permission to use commands in this channel?
4. Is the bot installed for your user account or the server?
**Solution:**
If the bot doesn't respond at all:
1. Try in DMs with the bot
2. Check if you can see the bot's commands when typing `/`
3. Re-add the bot to the server or reinstall user app
### "Interaction Failed"
**Cause:**
Discord interaction timeout (3 seconds for initial response).
**Solution:**
This usually happens when:
1. Database is slow to respond
2. HoYoLAB API is slow
3. Network issues
Try again in a few moments. If persistent, use `/feedback` to report.
### Cannot Send DM Notifications
**Symptoms:**
- Automatic notifications not arriving
- "Failed to send DM" in logs
**Solution:**
1. Check Discord privacy settings:
- User Settings → Privacy & Safety
- Enable "Allow direct messages from server members"
2. Make sure you haven't blocked the bot
3. Check if the bot user is in your mutual servers or installed as user app
## Data & Privacy Issues
### Cannot Access /data or /settings
**Solution:**
1. Make sure you're registered with `/register`
2. Try unlinking and re-linking with `/hoyolink`
3. If the issue persists, your data may be corrupted - use `/feedback`
### Privacy Blur Not Working
**Solution:**
1. Go to `/settings` → "General Settings"
2. Ensure "Privacy Blur" is Enabled
3. The setting applies to new command responses
4. Some UIDs in embeds may not be affected (known limitation)
### Deleting Data
**To completely remove your data:**
1. Use `/hoyolink` → "Unlink HoYoLAB Account" → "Confirm"
2. This removes:
- All cookies
- Linked games
- Settings
- Analytics data (if enabled)

Unlinking is permanent and cannot be undone. You'll need to register again and re-link your account.
