BeanQuick is your go-to platform for discovering local coffee shops and placing orders for pickup. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know as a customer.

Getting Started

Create Your Account

Navigate to the registration page and create your customer account:
  • Provide your name, email, and password
  • Verify your email address by clicking the activation link sent to your inbox
  • Once verified, you can log in to your account

Browse Available Cafes

After logging in, you’ll land on the Customer Dashboard where you can:
  • View all active coffee shops in your area
  • See which shops are currently open (indicated by green “Abierta ahora” badge)
  • Use the search bar to find specific cafes by name
  • Check ratings for each establishment (displayed with star icons)

Explore a Shop's Menu

Click on any cafe card to visit their store page and browse their full product catalog.

Browsing & Ordering

Viewing a Cafe’s Store

When you enter a cafe’s store page (/tienda/:id), you’ll see:

Store Header

  • Business logo and banner image
  • Store name and address
  • Open/closed status indicator

Product Filters

  • Search bar to find products by name
  • Category dropdown to filter by product type
  • Real-time filtering as you type

Product Information

Each product card displays:
  • Product image: High-quality photo of the item
  • Name and description: What you’re ordering
  • Price: Listed in local currency
  • Rating: Average customer rating with star display
  • Stock availability: Shows remaining quantity
  • Add to cart button: Disabled if out of stock or store is closed
Products that are out of stock will show an “AGOTADO” badge and cannot be added to cart. If you’ve already added the maximum available stock to your cart, you’ll see a “LÍMITE EN CARRITO” badge.

Adding Items to Cart

Select Products

Click the “Agregar” button on any product to add it to your cart. The floating cart icon will automatically open to show your items.

Manage Cart Quantities

In the floating cart panel:
  • Use + and - buttons to adjust quantities
  • Click the trash icon to remove items
  • View real-time total price updates
  • See how many items are in your cart

Proceed to Checkout

When ready, click “Ir a Checkout” to finalize your order.

Placing an Order

Checkout Process

On the checkout page (/cliente/checkout):
  1. Review your order: See all products, quantities, and prices
  2. Enter delivery address: Provide the address where you’ll pick up your order
  3. Confirm payment: Click “Confirmar y Pagar” to submit your order
Once confirmed, your order is sent to the business immediately. You’ll receive an order confirmation and can track its status in real-time.

Order States

Your order will progress through these stages:

Pagado (Paid)

Your order has been received and payment confirmed. The business will begin preparing your items shortly.

Preparando (Preparing)

The cafe is actively preparing your order. This is when your coffee is being made!
3

Listo (Ready)

Your order is complete and ready for pickup at the specified address.

Entregado (Delivered)

You’ve picked up your order. You can now leave a review!

Managing Your Orders

Viewing Order History

Access your order history from the navigation menu by clicking “Mis Pedidos” (/cliente/mis-pedidos). Features:

Order Filters

Filter orders by status:
  • Todos (All)
  • Pendiente (Pending)
  • Preparando (Preparing)
  • Listo (Ready)
  • Entregado (Delivered)
  • Cancelado (Cancelled)

Order Details

Each order shows:
  • Order number and cafe logo
  • Status badge with color coding
  • Pickup time
  • Total price
  • Business address

Expanding Order Details

Click on any order to expand and view:
  • Full product list with images
  • Quantity for each item
  • Individual product prices
  • Delivery address

Canceling Orders

You can cancel orders that are in “Pendiente” (Pending) status:
  1. Click on the order to expand details
  2. Click the “Cancelar Pedido” button
  3. Confirm the cancellation in the popup dialog
Once an order moves to “Preparando” status, it cannot be cancelled by customers. You’ll need to contact the business directly.

Rating Products & Leaving Reviews

When Can You Rate?

You can rate products only after your order has been marked as “Entregado” (Delivered).

How to Leave a Review

Open Delivered Order

Go to “Mis Pedidos” and find an order with “Entregado” status. Click to expand the order details.

Click 'Calificar' Button

Each product in the order will have a “Calificar” button with a star icon. Click it to open the rating modal.

Rate the Product

In the rating modal:
  • Click on stars to select your rating (1-5 stars)
  • Add an optional comment describing your experience
  • Click “Enviar Calificación” to submit

Confirmation

Once submitted, the button changes to “Calificado” with a checkmark, and you cannot rate the same product again.
Your ratings help other customers make informed decisions and help businesses improve their products!

Managing Your Reviews

View all your submitted reviews from “Mis Calificaciones” (/cliente/mis-calificaciones) in the navigation menu.

Profile Management

Updating Your Information

Access your profile from “Perfil” in the navigation menu (/cliente/perfil). You can update:
  • Display name
  • Email address
  • Password (enter new password to change)
  • Contact information
Keep your email updated to receive important order notifications and updates from BeanQuick.

Tips for Best Experience

Always verify if a store is open before placing an order. Closed stores will display a warning message and disable the ability to add items to cart.
Popular items may run out quickly. The platform shows real-time stock availability, so order early in the day for best selection.
Check product ratings and reviews from other customers to discover the best items at each cafe.
Pay attention to the pickup time on your order. Arrive promptly to ensure you receive fresh products.
After receiving your order, take a moment to rate the products. Your feedback supports local businesses and helps other customers.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Possible reasons:
  • Store is currently closed
  • Product is out of stock
  • You’ve already added maximum available quantity to cart
Solution: Check the product badge and store status. Wait until the store opens or choose alternative products.
Solution:
  • Refresh the “Mis Pedidos” page
  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify you’re logged into the correct account
  • Contact the business if the issue persists
Solution: Orders can only be cancelled in “Pendiente” status. Once preparation begins, contact the business directly via the address shown in your order details.
Solution: Ratings can only be submitted for “Entregado” orders. Each product can only be rated once per order. If you’ve already rated a product, the button will show “Calificado.”
