Common Use Cases

Meeting Notes

Capture key points, decisions, and action items during meetings:
"Team sync meeting. Discussed Q1 roadmap.
John will lead the API redesign.
Sarah needs design mockups by Friday.
Next meeting scheduled for March 15th."

Task Lists

Create voice-activated to-do lists:
"Tasks for today:
Review pull requests.
Update documentation.
Schedule one-on-one with Alex.
Prepare demo for client call."

Ideas and Brainstorming

Capture creative ideas as they come:
"New feature idea: Add voice commands for navigation.
Could reduce keyboard usage by 40%.
Check if API supports custom wake words.
Research competitor implementations."

Quick Reminders

Store important reminders and follow-ups:
"Remember to follow up with customer support about
ticket 1234. Client mentioned performance issues
on mobile devices."

Best Practices

Use Clear Dictation: Speak clearly and at a moderate pace for best transcription accuracy.
Review and Edit: After dictating, quickly review notes to correct any transcription errors while the context is fresh.
Regular Export: Periodically export important notes to ensure they’re backed up outside of SlasshyWispr.
Organize by Topic: Consider using prefixes or tags at the start of notes to categorize them (e.g., “MEETING:”, “IDEA:”, “TODO:”).

Storage

Quick Notes are stored locally using the key slasshy-wispr-notes-v1 and persist across application restarts. Your notes remain private and are stored on your device.
Unlike dictionary terms and snippets, Quick Notes do not have a team/shared scope. All notes are personal and stored locally.

Privacy

All Quick Notes are:
  • Stored locally on your device
  • Never uploaded to cloud servers
  • Encrypted with your system’s security
  • Accessible only to you
  • Completely private and confidential
