Finding friends

Navigate to the Friends page

Click on the Friends section in the navigation menu.

Browse available users

By default, you’ll see the Profiles tab which shows all MyDiary users who are not yet your friends.

Search for specific users

Use the search bar at the top to find friends by:
  • Name
  • Email address
The search filters results in real-time as you type.

Sending a friend request

Find the user

Search for or browse to the user you want to add as a friend.

Send the request

Click the Enviar solicitud de amistad (Send friend request) button on their profile card.The button text will change to Cancelar solicitud (Cancel request) to indicate your request is pending.

Wait for acceptance

The other user needs to accept your request before you become friends.
You can cancel a pending friend request at any time by clicking the Cancelar solicitud button.

Accepting friend requests

Go to the Requests tab

Click on Solicitudes (Requests) in the Friends page navigation.You’ll see all pending friend requests you’ve received.

Review the request

Each request shows:
  • The user’s name
  • Their profile picture
  • Two action buttons

Accept or reject

  • Click Aceptar solicitud (Accept request) to become friends
  • Click Rechazar solicitud (Reject request) to decline
Accepting a request allows you both to see each other’s public diary entries.

Managing your friend list

Viewing your friends

  1. Navigate to the Friends page
  2. Click the Amigos (Friends) tab
  3. You’ll see all users with whom you have an accepted friendship

Removing a friend

If you need to remove someone from your friend list:

Find the friend

Go to the Amigos tab and locate the friend you want to remove.

Remove friendship

Click the Eliminar amigo (Remove friend) button on their profile card.
Removing a friend means:
  • They can no longer see your public or friend-only entries
  • You can no longer see their public or friend-only entries
  • Any shared entries become invisible to both parties

Friend tabs explained

The Friends page has three tabs:

What happens when you’re friends

Once a friendship is established:
  • You can see each other’s public entries in your feed
  • You can be selected for friends-only entry sharing
  • You appear in each other’s friend lists
  • You can share specific diary entries with them
Build your friend network to make the most of MyDiary’s sharing features. The more friends you have, the more options you’ll have for selective sharing.
