Migrate from Confluence to Mintlify by exporting your content and following the manual migration workflow.

Migrate Confluence content manually

  1. Export your content from Confluence. The manual workflow accepts a native Markdown or HTML export, content retrieved through the platform’s API, or rendered HTML from the published site.
  2. Keep the original export unchanged and do conversion work in a copy.
  3. Create an inventory of pages with each page’s source, destination path, and migration status.
  4. Convert the content into MDX pages and recreate your navigation in docs.json.
If your Confluence site is publicly accessible, you can also convert pages with the scraper instead of working from an export. See Scrape individual pages.

Use Confluence as context for the Mintlify agent

Separately from migration, the Mintlify agent can connect to Confluence as a context source. This lets the agent read pages in your Confluence spaces when drafting or updating docs, and automations can trigger when a Confluence page is created or content is added to a space. See Integrations for the agent and automations.
