Available Mokepons

Mokepon features 6 unique characters, each with their own elemental type and attack loadout. Choose wisely - your Mokepon’s element determines its strengths and weaknesses in battle.

The Three Elements

The game uses a rock-paper-scissors combat system with three elemental types:

Attack Loadout System

Each Mokepon comes with exactly 5 attacks:
  • 3 attacks of their primary element type (e.g., 3× Fire for Ratigueya)
  • 1 attack of each of the other two element types
This gives you strategic flexibility - you can use your primary element for type advantage, or use off-type attacks to surprise opponents.

Choosing Your First Mokepon

New players: Start with a Mokepon whose element you find most appealing. All Mokepons are balanced and viable - mastering the combat system is more important than your initial choice.
Consider these factors when choosing:

Type Matchup

Think about which element you want to counter. If you expect many Fire opponents, choose a Water Mokepon.

Playstyle

All Mokepons have 3 primary attacks and 2 off-type attacks. Your strategy matters more than your choice.

Appearance

Each Mokepon has unique artwork and personality. Choose one you connect with visually!

Experimentation

Try different Mokepons in multiple games to find your favorite. There’s no wrong choice!

Combat Implications

Understanding your Mokepon’s element is crucial for battle success:
1

Know Your Advantages

Your primary element beats one type and loses to another. Memorize: Water → Fire, Fire → Plant, Plant → Water.
2

Save Strong Attacks

You only get 5 attacks per battle. Use your 3 primary attacks when you have type advantage.
3

Diversify Against Counters

If facing your counter element (e.g., Fire as a Plant type), use your off-type attacks strategically.
Once you select your Mokepon for a battle, you cannot change it until the match ends. Choose carefully before confirming!

Type Advantage in Action

Here’s how elemental advantages work in actual combat:
Your AttackOpponent TypeResult
💧 Water🔥 FireEffective! Deal damage
💧 Water🌱 PlantIneffective - no damage
💧 Water💧 WaterNeutral - no damage
The same-type matchups (Water vs Water, Fire vs Fire, Plant vs Plant) result in no damage, creating strategic stalemates that require smart attack sequencing.
