Product Information
Each product in your inventory contains:- Product Name: Descriptive name for easy identification
- Barcode: Optional barcode for scanner integration (unique per user)
- Category: Organize products into custom categories
- Purchase Price: Cost price paid to suppliers
- Selling Price: Price charged to customers
- Current Stock: Real-time inventory level
- Creation Date: When the product was added to the system
How to Add Products
Enter Product Details
Fill in the product information:
- Product name (required)
- Barcode (optional)
- Category
- Purchase price
- Selling price
- Initial stock quantity
Only Admin users can add, edit, or delete products. Sellers can view products to create sales.

The product list displays all your inventory with:- Product name and current stock level
- Category and pricing information
- Quick actions for editing or deleting
- Pagination (7 products per page)
Filtering by Category
Use the category filter dropdown to view only products in a specific category. This is helpful when you have a large catalog organized by product types.Sorting Options

- Stock level (low to high or high to low)

To remove a product from your inventory:- Click the Delete button next to the product

Barcode Scanning
Inventario supports barcode scanning for fast product lookup during sales:Setting Up Barcodes
- When adding or editing a product, enter the barcode number in the Barcode field
- Barcodes are unique per user/admin account
- You can use standard barcode formats (EAN-13, UPC, etc.)
Using Barcodes in Sales
During the sales process:- Connect a USB barcode scanner to your device
- Focus on the barcode field in the sales form
- Scan the product barcode
- The system automatically finds and adds the product to the sale
Generating Barcode Labels
Inventario includes a built-in barcode label generator for printing physical barcode stickers:

- Includes human-readable numbers below each barcode
- Optimized size for standard label sheets (15mm height, 0.5mm bar width)
- Preview barcodes before printing
The barcode generator is only available to admin users. Access it from Configuration → Generate Barcodes or at
/configuracion/generar-codigos/- EAN-13 (most common retail format)
- UPC-A (North American retail)
- Code128 (flexible alphanumeric)

Stock Management
Automatic Stock Updates
Inventario automatically adjusts stock levels when:- Sales are created: Stock decreases by the quantity sold
- Sales are edited: Stock adjusts based on the difference
- Sales are deleted: Stock is restored
- Purchases are recorded: Stock increases by the quantity purchased
- Purchases are deleted: Stock decreases accordingly
- Returns are processed: Stock is restored for returned items
Low Stock Alerts
The system monitors stock levels and alerts you when:- Products reach zero stock
- Products fall below the low stock threshold (default: 5 units)
Low stock warnings appear immediately after completing a sale that brings inventory below the threshold.

Troubleshooting
Product Not Found by Barcode
- Verify the barcode is entered correctly in the product details
- Check that the barcode scanner is working properly
- Ensure the barcode belongs to a product owned by your account
Cannot Delete Product
If you see an error when trying to delete a product, it means the product has sales associated with it. You have two options:- Keep the product in your catalog (recommended)
- Delete all associated sales first (not recommended)
Stock Count Doesn’t Match
If your physical stock doesn’t match the system:- Review recent sales and purchases
- Check for any deleted or edited transactions
- Manually adjust the stock level by editing the product
