Getting started with PCPartsPicker
Follow these steps to create your first PC configuration using the BuildPC Builder Tool.Select your country/region
Start by choosing your location to see pricing from local retailers. Currently supported regions:
- United States
- India
Choose components from each category
Select parts for your build from the following categories:Core components:
- CPU - The processor that powers your system (Intel or AMD)
- Motherboard - The main circuit board that connects all components
- Memory - RAM for system performance and multitasking
- Graphics Card - GPU for gaming and visual processing
- Storage - SSD or HDD for storing your operating system and files
- Case - The enclosure that houses your components
The builder will automatically check compatibility as you select each component, alerting you to any potential issues.
Review compatibility and total cost
Once you’ve selected your components, review:
- Compatibility status - Ensures all parts work together (socket types, power requirements, physical fit)
- Total cost - See the complete price with components from regional retailers
- Build summary - Overview of your complete configuration
