Core plugins are built and maintained by the Obsidian team and come included with the application. Some are enabled by default; others you enable when you need them.

Enable or disable a core plugin

1

Open Settings

Click the gear icon in the bottom-left corner of Obsidian, or press Ctrl+, (Cmd+, on macOS).
2

Go to Core plugins

In the left sidebar, select Core plugins.
3

Toggle the plugin

Find the plugin you want and flip its toggle on or off.
If you need a feature that isn’t in the core plugins list, check the Community plugins section in Settings. The community has built hundreds of plugins for Obsidian.
