Best Practices

Always create a system restore point before making significant configuration changes.
Scripts marked with “(default)” indicate the default AtlasOS configuration. You can safely run these scripts to restore the default behavior.

Tips for Using the Atlas Folder

  1. Read the script names carefully - Most scripts clearly indicate what they do (Enable/Disable)
  2. Check for defaults - Scripts marked “(default)” show the recommended AtlasOS configuration
  3. One at a time - Apply changes one at a time to identify any issues
  4. Restart when needed - Some changes require a restart or Explorer restart to take effect
  5. Keep notes - Document the changes you make for easier troubleshooting
