Venues in TMT store:- Location and address details

- Status (active/inactive)
Creating a Venue
- Use the official venue name
- Be consistent with public listings
- Example: “Teatro Teresa Carreño”
- Enter total capacity number
- This is the absolute maximum allowed
- Consider safety regulations
- Account for staff and restricted areas
- Options configured in system setup
- Examples: Teatro, Estadio, Centro de Convenciones, Auditorio
- Choose the type that best matches the venue
- Describe the space and facilities
- Mention unique features
- Note accessibility options
- Include parking information
- Keep it informative but concise
- Choose from available locations
- Determines regional settings
- Use proper capitalization
- Be specific (include district if needed)
- Use the correct format for the country
- Helps with location services
- Include street name and number
- Add building or complex name if applicable
- Provide landmarks if helpful
- Example: “Av. Paseo Colón, Los Caobos, Caracas 1010”
Managing Existing Venues
After creation, you can manage venues through the venues table:Viewing Venue Details
Click on any venue in the list to see:- IntroCard: Photo, name, description, capacity
- Location information: Full address and contact details
- Associated events: Past and upcoming events at this venue
- Contracts: Venue rental or service contracts
- Revenue updates: Financial performance of events at this venue
- Photos gallery: Additional venue images
- Status: Active or inactive
Editing Venue Information
- Navigate to the venue detail page
- Click the Edit button
- Update any fields that need changes
- Save your modifications
Changing venue capacity affects future events only, not existing events.
Venue Status Management
Toggle venue status:- Active: Available for new event assignments
- Inactive: Hidden from venue selection but preserves data
- Venues under renovation
- Temporarily closed venues
- Seasonal venues during off-season
- Venues no longer in use but with historical data
Venue-Event Relationship
When creating an event:- Select from active venues only
- Venue capacity becomes event’s maximum capacity
- Venue address is used for event location
- Venue name appears on tickets
Capacity Management
The venue’s maximum capacity is used to:- Validate total ticket creation
- Prevent overselling across all zones
- Calculate available seats
- Warn when approaching capacity limits
