Pressure vessel Support Indicator
Engineering-grade calculations for pressure vessel supports, structural beams, and weld design. Compliant with ASME, ASCE, and COVENIN codes. SI and US unit systems supported.
What is PSI?
PSI is a web-based engineering platform for pressure vessel support design and analysis. It guides mechanical and structural engineers through the full lifecycle of a support calculation — from geometry input to printable reports — all within a modern browser dashboard.Support Design
Configure saddle, skirt, leg, lug, and ring supports with geometry, material, and load inputs.
Support Analysis
Analyze support performance with metrics, charts, and code checks against ASME/ASCE and COVENIN.
Structural Elements
Beam and weld design/analysis modules with configurable profiles and bracing configurations.
Engineering Reports
Generate and print design summary reports with project info, geometry, wind/seismic data, and results.
Core capabilities
5 support types
Saddle, Skirt, Legs (braced/unbraced), Lug, and Ring supports — each with full geometry inputs.
Dual code support
ASME/ASCE and COVENIN seismic and wind load code paths for US and Venezuelan projects.
SI & US units
Switch between metric (mm, MPa, °C) and imperial (in, psi, °F) unit systems at any time.
ASME materials
Built-in reference tables for ASME VIII Division 1 and Division 2 material properties.
Print/export
Export design summaries as print-ready HTML pages with project metadata and results.
Dark mode
Full dark mode support with a collapsible sidebar for comfortable extended-session use.
How it works
Create an account and log in
Register at
/registro and sign in to access the full platform dashboard.Enter vessel geometry
Navigate to Support Design and fill in outer diameter, length/height, wall thickness, insulation, fluid level, and specific gravity.
Configure loads
Set wind zone, exposure category, and seismic parameters (site class, Ss, S1, or COVENIN city/state/soil type).
Select and configure a support type
Choose from saddle, skirt, legs, lug, or ring support — each with its own geometry panel.
