Adding products to DADDO is simple and flexible. This guide walks you through creating products with all the details your customers need.

Adding a New Product

Navigate to Create Product

From the home page, click ”+ Crear Producto” (Create Product) or navigate to ProductsCreate Product.

Enter Basic Information

Fill in the essential product details:
  • Product Name: Give your product a clear, descriptive name
  • Description: Add details about the product (optional but recommended)
  • Color: Specify the primary color if applicable

Select or Create a Category

Categories help organize your products and make them easier to find.To use an existing category:
  • Select from the dropdown menu
To create a new category:
  • Click “Crear categoría” (Create category)
  • Enter the category name
  • Click “Cancelar” if you change your mind
Good category examples: “Clothing”, “Electronics”, “Shoes”, “Accessories”

Upload Product Images

Click “Seleccionar imágenes” (Select images) to add photos:
  • You can upload multiple images
  • Images will appear as thumbnails in a grid
  • Click the × button on any image to remove it
  • The first image will be the main product photo
High-quality images help customers make purchase decisions. Try to use clear, well-lit photos.

Set Pricing and Stock

Enter the financial details:
  • Sale Price (Precio de venta): The price customers pay
  • Purchase Price (Precio de compra): Your cost (for profit tracking)
  • Stock: How many units you have available
All three fields are required. Make sure your sale price is higher than your purchase price to maintain profitability.

Add Product Variants (Optional)

If your product comes in different options, add variants (see detailed section below).

Create the Product

Click “Crear producto” (Create product) to save.
Check “Crear otro producto después de este” (Create another product after this one) if you want to add multiple products quickly.

Variants are perfect for products that come in different colors, sizes, or styles.

When to Use Variants

  • Clothing in different sizes (S, M, L, XL)
  • Products available in multiple colors
  • Items with different style options
  • Any product with multiple configurations

Click Add Variant

On the product creation form, click ”+ Agregar variante” (Add variant) at the bottom.

Fill in Variant Details

For each variant, enter:
  • Color: Variant color (e.g., “Red”, “Blue”)
  • Size (Talla): Size designation (e.g., “M”, “Large”, “38”)
  • Stock: How many units of this specific variant
  • Price (optional): If this variant has a different price
  • Purchase Price (optional): If the cost is different
If you don’t specify a price for a variant, it will use the main product’s price.

Upload Variant Images

Each variant can have its own images:
  • Click the file input under the variant
  • Select images specific to this variant
  • Remove images using the × button if needed
If you don’t add variant-specific images, the main product images will be used.

Add More Variants or Remove

  • Click ”+ Agregar variante” to add another variant
  • Click “Eliminar” (Delete) on a variant to remove it

Variant Example

Main Product:
  • Name: “Classic Cotton T-Shirt”
  • Category: “Clothing”
  • Base Price: $15
  • Main images: Generic t-shirt photos
Variants:
  1. Color: Blue, Size: M, Stock: 10
  2. Color: Blue, Size: L, Stock: 8
  3. Color: Red, Size: M, Stock: 5
  4. Color: Red, Size: L, Stock: 12
Each variant can have specific photos showing the actual color.

Be Specific

Use clear, specific category names that make sense for your business

Don't Over-Categorize

Start with 3-5 main categories. You can always add more later

Product Creation Tips

  • Be descriptive: “Men’s Leather Wallet - Brown” vs “Wallet”
  • Include key features: size, material, color
  • Keep it concise but informative
  • Highlight key features and benefits
  • Include dimensions or measurements if relevant
  • Mention materials or special care instructions
  • Keep it brief but complete
  • Ensure your sale price covers costs and desired profit
  • Track purchase prices accurately for profit reports
  • Consider competitor pricing in your market
  • Update stock levels as soon as inventory changes
  • DADDO automatically reduces stock when you record sales
  • Low stock alerts help prevent overselling

After Creating Products

Once you’ve created products:
  1. They’ll appear in your All Products page
  2. They’ll be visible in your public catalog (if shared)
  3. They’ll be available when recording sales
  4. You can edit them anytime from the products page
Create products in batches if you have many items. Use the “Create another product after this one” checkbox to speed up the process.
