What is Babel?

Babel is a full-stack SaaS platform designed specifically for data science teams. It structures every project around the CRISP-DM (Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining) methodology — the industry-standard framework for data science workflows. Instead of generic task boards, Babel organizes work into the six CRISP-DM phases:
PhaseFocus
Business UnderstandingDefine objectives, scope, and success criteria
Data UnderstandingExplore data sources, assess quality
Data PreparationClean, transform, and engineer features
ModelingTrain, tune, and compare models
EvaluationValidate results against business criteria
DeploymentRelease, monitor, and document the solution
Each phase has its own task board, traceability records, and progress tracking — giving project managers and data scientists a single source of truth for every stage of the process.

Key capabilities

CRISP-DM Pipeline

Six-phase pipeline with per-phase Kanban boards and real-time progress tracking.

Data Traceability

Log datasets, ML experiments, and technical decisions tied to each pipeline phase.

Team Collaboration

Add collaborators, assign tasks, and manage roles (Manager or Collaborator).

Live Dashboard

Phase semaphores, status distribution charts, and experiment rankings updated in real time.

PDF Reports

Export a full project report — tasks, datasets, experiments, and decisions — as a PDF.

Drag-and-Drop Kanban

Move tasks between statuses with a drag-and-drop Kanban board inside each phase.

How Babel is organized

A typical Babel workflow looks like this:
  1. Register and confirm your account — sign up with your email and verify via confirmation code.
  2. Create a project — give it a name, client name, and description.
  3. Add your team — invite collaborators by email address.
  4. Create tasks per phase — add tasks to the relevant CRISP-DM phase with priority, deadline, and assignment.
  5. Track progress — use the phase cards and Kanban to move tasks through statuses.
  6. Log traceability — register datasets, experiments, and decisions as you work.
  7. Export a report — generate a PDF summary at any milestone.
Babel is built as a Spanish-language application — the UI uses Spanish labels for statuses, phases, and navigation. This documentation covers the full feature set in English.
