Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about using AutoLog for fleet management and asset tracking.

Authentication & Access

AutoLog supports both public and private sessions. For private sessions:
  1. Navigate to the login page
  2. Enter your email and password
  3. If 2FA is enabled, you’ll be prompted for a verification code
  4. You’ll be redirected to the home dashboard
AutoLog uses secure httpOnly cookies for session management, ensuring your credentials are protected.
2FA adds an extra layer of security to your account. When enabled:
  • You’ll need to provide a verification code after entering your password
  • Codes are generated by an authenticator app on your phone
  • This prevents unauthorized access even if your password is compromised
Enable 2FA in Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication.
If you’ve forgotten your password:
  1. Click “Forgot Password” on the login page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check your email for a reset link
  4. Follow the link to create a new password
Administrators can also reset passwords for users from the Users management page.
Login alerts notify you when your account is accessed from a new device or location. This security feature helps you:
  • Monitor account activity
  • Detect unauthorized access attempts
  • Stay informed about login patterns
Configure login alerts in Settings > Security > Login Alerts.
