Digital prescriptions in Aria are ABHA-linked and accepted by pharmacies across India. They contain all the information you need to fill your prescriptions and take medications correctly.

How Digital Prescriptions Work

Launch the Aria patient app on your mobile device

Tap Prescriptions from the main menu, or view them in your Medical Timeline

Prescriptions are displayed in reverse chronological order, with the newest first

Medication Information

For each medication in your prescription, you’ll see:
  • Medication Name - Generic and brand names (e.g., Paracetamol / Crocin)
  • Strength - Dosage strength (e.g., 500mg, 10mg)
  • Dosage Instructions - How much to take and when (e.g., “1 tablet twice daily after meals”)
  • Duration - How long to continue the medication (e.g., “5 days”, “2 weeks”)
  • Special Instructions - Any specific warnings or guidance from your doctor

Taking Prescriptions to the Pharmacy

Aria digital prescriptions are accepted at pharmacies across India.

Launch Aria and navigate to the prescription you need to fill

Display your mobile screen to the pharmacist, or use the share feature to send the prescription

QR Code Verification

Pharmacists can scan the QR code on your prescription for verification and authenticity

Get Your Medications

The pharmacist dispenses your medications based on the digital prescription
ABHA-Linked Prescriptions - Your digital prescriptions are linked to your ABHA health ID, making them verifiable and accepted across the ABDM network.

Download or Print

If you prefer a physical copy:
  • Tap the Download button to save a PDF version
  • Print the PDF at home or at a local print shop
  • Share the PDF via email or messaging apps

Organize by Doctor

Filter prescriptions to see all treatments from a specific physician:
  • Tap Filter and select a doctor’s name
  • View all prescriptions from that doctor
  • Track ongoing treatment plans

Organize by Condition

Group prescriptions by health condition:
  • Search for a specific diagnosis or condition
  • See all related prescriptions and treatments
  • Monitor how your treatment has evolved

Understanding Your Diagnosis

Each prescription includes your diagnosis - the condition your doctor is treating.

Diagnosis Details Include

  • Primary Diagnosis - Main condition being treated (e.g., “Acute Upper Respiratory Infection”)
  • Symptoms - Specific symptoms noted by your doctor (e.g., “Fever, cough, sore throat”)
  • Clinical Findings - Any measurements or observations (e.g., “Fever 99.8°F”)
  • Treatment Plan - Brief overview of the treatment approach
