What gets saved to your library
A title is added to your library in two ways:- Manually — click Add to library on any metadata page or in the Discover preview panel.
- Automatically — Stremio adds a title to your library the first time you play it, so watch progress is always tracked.
Library data is associated with your Stremio account. Sign in on any device to access your full library and resume watching from where you left off.
Browsing your library
Filter by type
Use the Type dropdown to show only a specific content type — movies, series, channels, and more. Select All to see everything.
Sort the results
Use the sort chips below the type selector to order your library. Available sort options include by last watched, by name, and by date added.
Open a title
Click any item to open its metadata page where you can pick a stream and continue watching.
Continue Watching view
The Continue Watching view is a filtered subset of your library that shows only titles with saved progress. You can access it from the sidebar or from the dedicated row on the Board. The Continue Watching view uses the same underlying data as the Library. Items here also appear in your full Library list.

Syncing across devices
When you are signed in, your library state — including which titles are saved, watch timestamps, and episode progress — is synced through Stremio’s cloud backend. What syncs
What syncs
- Titles added or removed from the library
- Playback position (timestamp) for each title
- Last-watched episode for series
- Subtitle and audio track preferences per stream
What does not sync
What does not sync
Local subtitle files you drag into the player are session-only and are not uploaded to the cloud.
Offline behavior
Offline behavior
If Stremio cannot reach the sync server, your library is still available locally from the last successful sync. Changes made offline are queued and applied when connectivity is restored.
