The Product Catalog provides centralized access to technical documentation for all GINEZ products, including raw materials and finished goods.

Overview

The catalog is divided into two main sections, synchronized with Google Sheets for real-time data updates:

Raw Materials

Technical data sheets, safety information, and certificates of analysis for production inputs.Data Source: Google Sheets CSV export

Finished Products

Document Access Audit

Admin Feature: All document downloads are logged with user ID, timestamp, and document type for compliance tracking.
The audit log captures:
  • User who downloaded
  • Material accessed
  • Document type (FT/HS/COA)
  • Download timestamp
  • IP address (if enabled)
Audit Trail Location: /configuracion > Auditoría de Documentos (Admin only)

Hierarchical Structure

The finished products catalog uses a three-level hierarchy: 
Familias (Families)
  └── Categorías (Categories)
      └── Productos (Products/SKUs)

Search Functionality

The catalog features a global search bar that indexes:
  • Product codes (SKUs)
  • Product names
  • Family names
  • Category names
  • Raw material names
  • CAS numbers
Search Tips:
  • Use partial matches (e.g., “DET” finds all detergents)
  • Case-insensitive matching
  • Accent-insensitive (e.g., “jabon” finds “jabón”)
  • Real-time results as you type

Data refreshes:
  • On page load: Fresh data every visit
  • Manual refresh: Refresh button in UI
  • Cache duration: 5 minutes client-side cache
Changes to Google Sheets may take up to 5 minutes to reflect in the catalog due to caching.

Certain documents may be restricted:
  • Internal Use Only: Visible to quality and production roles
  • Confidential: Visible to managers and above
  • Public: Available to all users
Document visibility is controlled via metadata in Google Sheets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Currently, documents must be downloaded individually.Workaround:
  • Use middle-click to open in new tabs
  • Download all tabs at once
  • Or request bulk download from admin
Product additions require admin approval.Process:
  1. Submit request to Quality Manager
  2. Provide product specifications
  3. Quality team reviews and approves
  4. Admin adds to Google Sheets
  5. Product appears in catalog within 5 minutes
Specification changes follow change control process:
  1. Quality Manager proposes change
  2. Review by technical committee
  3. Approval by Director of Operations
  4. Update Google Sheets with new spec
  5. Notify production teams
