Papillon is your all-in-one student life management app. This guide will walk you through downloading the app, connecting your school account, and accessing your first features.
Papillon supports multiple school platforms including PRONOTE, ÉcoleDirecte, Skolengo, and university services. Make sure you have your school platform credentials ready.

Choose your platform

Papillon is available on both iOS and Android devices.

iOS

Download from the App Store (iOS 17.6+)

Android

Download from Google Play Store
Minimum requirements:
  • iOS: Version 17.6 or later
  • Android: Compatible with most modern devices

Install the app

Tap the download button for your platform and follow your device’s standard app installation process. Papillon is a lightweight app optimized for performance.

Open Papillon

Once installed, tap the Papillon icon on your home screen to launch the app. You’ll be greeted with a welcoming onboarding screen.

Connect Your School Account

After opening Papillon, you’ll go through a 3-step onboarding process to connect your school platform.

Select your school service

On the welcome screen, tap “Commencer” (Start) to begin.Choose your school’s platform from the available options:Primary School Services:
  • PRONOTE - The most widely used platform in France
  • ÉcoleDirecte - Popular in private schools
  • Skolengo - Modern platform for various institutions
Additional Services:
  • University - For higher education institutions (IUT Lannion, Université de Lorraine, Université de Nîmes, UPHF, and more)
  • Restaurants - Connect meal services like TurboSelf, ARD, Izly, or Alise

Choose your login method

Depending on your selected service, you’ll have multiple ways to connect:

For PRONOTE users:

Use your device's location to find nearby schools automatically

For ÉcoleDirecte users:

You’ll be taken directly to the credentials screen.

For Skolengo users:

Choose between map location or search to find your school.
When using location services, make sure to grant Papillon permission to access your location. This helps find schools near you automatically.

Enter your credentials

Once you’ve selected your school, enter your login information:Username: Your school-provided username or student IDPassword: Your account password
Papillon securely stores your credentials locally on your device using encrypted storage. Your credentials are never shared with third parties.
If your school uses two-factor authentication (2FA), you’ll be prompted to complete the additional security step.After successful authentication, Papillon will fetch your account details:
  • Your name
  • School name
  • Class information
Tap “Connexion” (Login) to proceed.

Personalize your experience

Choose your preferred theme color to customize Papillon’s appearance. This color will be used throughout the app to match your style.Once you’ve selected your color, you’re all set! Tap continue to access your dashboard.

Explore Your Dashboard

Congratulations! You’ve successfully set up Papillon. Here’s what you can do now:

View Your Schedule

Access your timetable and see your classes for the day, week, or month. Tap on any class to view detailed information.

Check Your Grades

Monitor your academic performance with detailed grade breakdowns, averages, and statistics. Track your progress over time.

Manage Homework

View and organize your assignments and tasks. Mark them as complete when you’re done.

Read News & Announcements

Stay informed with school news, announcements, and important updates from your teachers.

Your First Actions

Here are some things to try right away:

Check Today’s Schedule

  1. From the home screen, you’ll see your current or next class
  2. Swipe through the cards to see upcoming classes
  3. Tap on a class card to view detailed information including:
    • Subject and teacher
    • Room location
    • Class duration
    • Any attached resources or notes

View Your Latest Grades

  1. Navigate to the Grades tab from the bottom navigation bar
  2. View your grades organized by subject
  3. Tap on any grade to see:
    • Grade value and coefficient
    • Class average
    • Your performance compared to class statistics
    • Teacher comments

Check Homework Due Soon

  1. Navigate to the Tasks tab
  2. See all your upcoming assignments sorted by due date
  3. Tap on a task to:
    • View the full description
    • See attached files or instructions
    • Mark it as completed

Customize Your Profile

  1. Tap your profile icon in the top navigation
  2. Customize your profile picture using your device’s gallery
  3. Adjust app settings including:
    • Theme preferences (light/dark mode)
    • Notifications
    • Language (supports 35+ languages)
    • Display options

Multiple Accounts

Papillon supports multiple accounts, perfect if you have:
  • Multiple school services (e.g., PRONOTE + TurboSelf for lunch)
  • Siblings using the same device
  • University and restaurant accounts

Add another account

Go to Settings → Accounts → “Add Account” and follow the same onboarding process.

Switch between accounts

Tap your profile icon and select the account you want to switch to.

Account Issues?If you can’t log in, verify:
  • Your credentials are correct (try logging in through your school’s website)
  • Your school platform is not under maintenance
  • You’re using the correct login method for your school
For PRONOTE users with 2FA enabled, make sure you complete the authentication challenge when prompted.
