BD2 Mod Manager is a powerful desktop application that simplifies mod management for Brown Dust 2. Whether you’re managing a handful of mods or hundreds, BD2 Mod Manager provides an intuitive interface to organize, preview, and sync your mods with ease.

What is BD2 Mod Manager?

BD2 Mod Manager is a Windows application built with Python and PySide6 that acts as a centralized hub for all your Brown Dust 2 mods. Instead of manually copying files into your game directory, BD2 Mod Manager provides a dedicated staging area where you can:
  • Add and organize mods without touching your game installation
  • Enable or disable mods with a single click
  • Preview Spine animations directly in the app
  • Sync your enabled mods to the game folder when you’re ready to play

How it works

BD2 Mod Manager uses a separate staging directory (the mods/ folder managed by the app) to store your mod files. This is different from the BrownDustX mods directory in your game installation. When you sync your mods, BD2 Mod Manager creates a BD2MM folder inside your BrownDustX mods directory containing all your enabled mods. You have full control over which mods are active, and changes only apply when you sync.
After making any changes (enable, disable, delete, rename), you must sync your mods to update the game folder.
