Managing Your Subscription

Your JCV Fitness subscription gives you access to personalized workout and nutrition plans. This guide explains how to manage your subscription effectively.

Viewing Subscription Status

You can view your subscription details in multiple places:

Dashboard Overview

Access Your Dashboard

Navigate to /dashboard after logging in. You’ll see your subscription card prominently displayed.

Subscription Card

The subscription card shows:
  • Plan Name (Básico, Pro, or Premium)
  • Status (Active, Expired, or Cancelled)
  • Expiration Date - When your subscription ends
  • Days Remaining - Countdown to expiration
  • Renewal Options - Quick access to renew or upgrade

For more detailed information, visit /settings:
  • Account creation date
  • Current plan type

All plans have a 1-month duration. Your subscription automatically expires at the end of the period unless renewed.

Understanding Subscription Status

Your subscription can have one of four statuses:

Active

  • Full access to all plan features
  • Can view and download plans
  • Progress tracking enabled
  • Support access available
Indicator: Green badge with “Activo” label

Expiring Soon (7 days or less)

  • Still active, but renewal recommended
  • Orange warning banner appears
  • All features remain accessible
  • Renewal prompts in dashboard
Indicator: Orange “Expiring Soon” warning

Expired

  • Subscription period has ended
  • Cannot access plans or download PDFs
  • Previous data is preserved
  • Can reactivate by purchasing new subscription
Indicator: Red “Expired” badge

Cancelled

  • User requested cancellation
  • Access ends at current period end
  • No automatic renewal
  • Can reactivate anytime
Indicator: Gray “Cancelled” badge

Renewing Your Subscription

JCV Fitness uses manual renewal (no automatic billing).

Renewal Notification

You’ll see renewal prompts when:
  • 7 days remain (orange banner in dashboard)
  • 3 days remain (email notification)
  • Subscription expires (plan access blocked)

Start Renewal Process

To renew your subscription:
  1. Click “Renovar ahora” in the subscription card
  2. Or visit /pricing directly
  3. Select your desired plan (can upgrade/downgrade)

Complete Payment

  • Choose payment method (MercadoPago or Wompi)
  • Complete the payment flow
  • Your subscription activates immediately
  • New expiration date is set (current date + 1 month)
Renewing before expiration ensures uninterrupted access to your plans and progress data.

Upgrading or Downgrading

You can change your plan tier at any time:

Upgrading (e.g., Básico → Pro)

  1. Visit /pricing
  2. Select the higher-tier plan
  3. Complete payment
  4. New plan activates immediately
  5. New features become available instantly
When upgrading, you pay the full price of the new plan. The new subscription period starts from the upgrade date.

Downgrading (e.g., Premium → Pro)

  1. Let your current subscription expire
  2. Purchase the lower-tier plan
  3. Or contact support for immediate downgrade options
Downgrading removes access to premium features (e.g., 1-on-1 coaching, VIP community). Your plan data is preserved but some features may become unavailable.

Subscription Expiration Handling

When your subscription expires:

  • You’re redirected to /plan/expired when trying to access plans
  • Dashboard shows “No active subscription” message
  • Your wizard data and preferences are preserved
  • Previous plans are saved (read-only, no downloads)

Reactivating

Purchase New Subscription

Visit /pricing and select any plan tier.

Data Restoration

After payment, your previous:
  • Wizard preferences are restored
  • Exercise selections are reloaded
  • Food preferences are maintained
  • Body data is carried forward

Plan Access Restored

You immediately regain:
  • Plan viewing access
  • PDF download capability
  • Progress tracking
  • Support access

Cancelling Your Subscription

JCV Fitness subscriptions don’t auto-renew, so “cancellation” simply means not renewing when your period ends.

To Cancel

  1. Let your subscription expire naturally (no action needed)
  2. Don’t click renewal prompts
  3. Access ends at the expiration date

If You Need Immediate Cancellation

  • Request: Immediate subscription cancellation
Refunds are handled case-by-case. Contact support within 7 days of purchase for refund requests.

Account Deletion

To permanently delete your account and all data:
  1. Go to /settings
  2. Scroll to “Zona de peligro” (Danger Zone)
  3. Click “Contactar soporte”
  4. Request account deletion via WhatsApp or email
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All your plans, progress data, and preferences will be permanently deleted.

No. JCV Fitness uses manual renewal. You must purchase a new subscription when your current one expires.
Your wizard data, preferences, and plan history are preserved. You can’t access or download plans, but everything is restored when you reactivate.
Subscriptions cannot be paused. If you need a break, let your subscription expire and reactivate when ready. Your data will be waiting.
Refunds are evaluated case-by-case within 7 days of purchase. Contact support with your reason and payment details.
No. Subscriptions are personal and tied to your email. Plans include watermarks with your name and are non-transferable.
