The Speak English Now platform offers three distinct learning levels, each tailored to different stages of English proficiency. These levels determine the focus of your virtual classes, activities, and learning materials.

The Three Learning Levels

Grammar

Inicial (Beginner)Focus on foundational language structure and composition

Listening

Intermedio (Intermediate)Develop auditory comprehension and reading skills

Conversational

Avanzado (Advanced)Master speaking fluency and oral expression

How Learning Levels Work

Your assigned learning level determines which type of virtual classes you’ll attend. Classes are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays in 90-minute virtual sessions with a limited number of participants. After each class, you’ll receive an exam in the Activities section to evaluate what you’ve learned.

Level Assignment

When you register on the platform, you’ll be assigned one of these levels based on your current English proficiency:
  • Inicial: For users just starting their English journey or needing to strengthen fundamentals
  • Basico: For users with basic understanding who need structured practice
  • Intermedio: For users who can communicate but need to improve comprehension
  • Avanzado: For users ready to refine fluency and natural expression
Your level can be updated as you progress through the platform. Contact an administrator if you feel your current level doesn’t match your abilities.

Class Structure by Level

Each level follows a consistent structure but with different focus areas:
  1. 90-minute virtual class on Wednesday or Saturday
  2. Limited group size for personalized attention
  3. Post-class activity to evaluate learning
  4. Level-specific content aligned with your learning goals

Choosing the Right Level

Your initial level is assigned during registration based on a brief assessment. However, you can:
  • Request a level change by contacting support
  • Observe your comfort level during the first few classes
  • Review the specific focus areas for each level on their dedicated pages
Yes! As you progress, you may find that your skills have improved enough to move to the next level. Contact an administrator through the support system to request a level evaluation and change.
It’s often better to start at the lower level to build a strong foundation. You can always advance more quickly if the material is too easy, but struggling with advanced content can be discouraging.
Yes, all levels follow the same schedule with classes on Wednesdays and Saturdays. However, the specific time slots may vary depending on group formation and participant availability.
