Tips and Best Practices
Use Descriptive Titles
Write clear, descriptive titles that help you quickly identify notes. Good titles make finding information faster and easier.
Pin Active Notes
Pin the note you’re actively working on or frequently referencing. This keeps important information one click away.
Leverage Categories
Use categories to create a personal knowledge management system. Examples: “Meeting Notes”, “Ideas”, “Reference”, “Code Snippets”.
Regular Cleanup
Periodically review and delete outdated notes. This keeps your notes list manageable and relevant.
Keep It Focused
Each note should cover one topic or idea. Multiple focused notes are easier to find and manage than one long note covering many topics.
Use Cases
Quick Capture
Use notes to quickly capture fleeting ideas before they disappear. The fast interface means you can jot down thoughts without interrupting your flow.Meeting Notes
Take notes during meetings or calls. Pin the current meeting note for easy access during the conversation.Reference Information
Store frequently needed information like:- Code snippets
- Keyboard shortcuts
- Contact information
- Project details
- Documentation links
Brainstorming
Use notes as a brainstorming canvas. Create a note, enable typing sounds, and let ideas flow.Daily Journal
Create a daily note to track thoughts, accomplishments, or learnings throughout the day.Integration with Tasks
Notes and tasks work together seamlessly:- Use the same categories for both
- Convert note ideas into actionable tasks
- Reference notes while working on related tasks
- Keep project notes alongside project tasks
The notes feature shares the category system with tasks, making it easy to keep related information together across different content types.
Future Enhancements
While notes are powerful in their current form, potential future features could include:- Rich text formatting
- Note linking and backlinks
- Full-text search
- Note templates
- Export capabilities
The current plain-text approach keeps notes fast, simple, and distraction-free—perfect for quick capture and reference.
